Axiom releases FileFixer 7.8 for MicroStation

CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, USA -- April 22, 2002 -- Axiom announces the release of FileFixer version 7.8 -- the only tool available to fully automatically detect and fix MicroStation file corruption.

The newest release of FileFixer:

-- Recognizes design files that are in MicroStation V8 format and notifies user. [Note: MicroStation files converted to V8 format are not recognized by earlier versions of MicroStation. A V8 design file will appear to be a corrupt design file when a user attempts to open it with MicroStation version 95, SE or J.]

-- Contains more powerful search and repair options, which will handle recently discovered forms of corruption. For example, FileFixer can detect and fix corruption in the enhanced precision value stored in an element. This type of corruption causes MicroStation to exit when the corrupt element is selected or manipulated.

-- Advanced reporting feature builds an index file containing a summary of each report file (when it is configured to create a separate report file for each MicroStation file processed). The HTML version of the index file contains a hyperlink to each report file.
