Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) To Exhibit At Dexter + Chaney's 12th Annual Users' Conference

SEATTLE, February 19, 2008: Dexter + Chaney ( www.dexterchaney.com) has added another benefit for users of its Spectrum(TM) Construction Software who attend the company’s 12th annual users’ conference April 16-18 in Seattle. Representatives of the national trade organization for construction financial professionals, the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), will exhibit services and products that can help Spectrum users operate their businesses.

“We’ve invited CFMA to exhibit at the users’ conference, since they share the same mission as Dexter + Chaney,” explained John Chaney, Dexter + Chaney president. “Both organizations are dedicated to helping construction professionals learn new and better ways to manage their busy companies. CFMA is a ‘natural’ to exhibit at the users’ conference, since two-thirds of the conference attendees are either accounting staff or controllers.”

CFMA ( www.cfma.org), based in Princeton NJ, is the only organization dedicated to the specific needs of construction financial professionals and service providers. It offers its 7,000-plus members throughout the U.S. educational programs, professional networking opportunities, career tools, product discounts and other benefits. Founded in 1989, CFMA produces a biennial Information Technology Survey for the Construction Industry that many companies use as a valuable resource when purchasing construction software.

“Our exhibit will help Dexter + Chaney clients learn how CFMA can help them and their companies,” said Susan Dunham, CFMA membership director who will represent the organization at the users’ conference. “We’ll explain the educational, networking, business and other opportunities open to CFMA members, both nationally and in their local areas. With approximately 90 CFMA chapters nationwide, we’ll be able to steer Spectrum users to a local chapter whose members are construction financial professionals who share the same needs and goals.”

The CFMA booth is another benefit for the nearly 500 Dexter + Chaney clients, representing construction companies throughout the United States, who will attend the conference at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center on the Seattle waterfront. Dexter + Chaney has added 18 entirely new sessions to the 2008 event, including several that will give conference-goers a “sneak preview” of features planned for the latest version of Spectrum.

“Since the first users’ conference in 1997, we’ve promoted the event as an opportunity for our clients to learn new and better methods to use Spectrum to manage their companies,” said Chaney. “CFMA membership is a valuable ‘tool’ that can assist our clients, and we’re delighted to provide an opportunity for them to learn about the organization and its benefits.”
