Bentley: Reliability Strategy Development Series, Part 2: Maintenance Task Analysis
Date: September 16 - October 16, 2014
Place: USA

Reliability Strategy Development Series, Part 2: Maintenance Task Analysis

Presenter: Martin Vezina

Tuesday, September 16, 2014 6:00:00 AM

Learn how to validate and improve existing maintenance and reliability programs using Bentley’s failure mode and effects based methodology, Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA2). MTA2 is used when you need to quickly reduce the amount of reactive breakdown maintenance (or fire-fighting) being conducted, by reviewing and validating existing maintenance tasks against known or likely failure modes. Where tasks are not well developed or documented, MTA2 is an excellent tool to capture existing operator and trade asset knowledge, building it into the program. Typically used on medium to low risk assets, MTA2 is a facilitated risk-based approach that leverages Reliability-centered Maintenance (RCM2) thinking in a less formal approach to failure mode analysis for quick results.

Topics:

  • Learn the basic concepts of Maintenance Task Analysis as a reliability strategy for your assets
  • Understand the MTA2 methodology and process and how to use AssetWise APM software to facilitate and expedite the MTA2 process
  • Learn how to apply the methodology and understand MTA2 outcomes
  • Learn the key to success in implementing MTA2
