Welcome to the third installment of the AECCafe Industry Predictions for 2019. As we have had great response to our request for predictions, we continue to bring you industry predictions from leading companies in the AEC industry for the month of January. Autodesk University 2018 in November in Las Vegas, opened with its usual youthful cool vigor, dancing and mix music for the opening session. CEO of Autodesk, Andrew Anagnost, presented opening remarks, outlining the company vision of automation.
Dr. Horst Kayser, chief strategy officer, Siemens AG, presented a keynote in London at the Bentley Year in Infrastructure 2018 conference in October on the position of Siemens in the world of business. Siemens has gone from a PLM company to software company, and is now rated number two in its space, just behind SAP. It is the largest industrial manufacturing company in European industry, with a focus in the areas of Energy, Healthcare, and Infrastructure & Cities.
