Article source: bauzeit architekten

The children’s clinic ‘Wildermeth’ in the early 2000s decided to join the hospital complex Biel. This is envisaged to improve its services and simultaneously reduce operating costs through synergies with the existing hospital. This integration was not without problems since the clinic for children, as institution has existed for decades, did not wanted to lose its identity and visibility.

Article source: Frederico Valsassina

Oporto, and its people, express themselves visually in architecture, the architecture of the city, plastic synthesis of the local culture, where the architectural events are the events of the city and its people. Bearing in mind that, with time, Oporto as acquired the expression of a continental type european city in an country of mediterranean expression and culture. The colour and the main characteristics of the building materials of the city, the absorption form of the light and reflexes, the rhythm and the layout of the street plans, the proportion pattern in the openings on the facades, all brings closer the image of the city to the urban agglomerations of the Northern European countries more than Lisbon, the south or the Mediterranean capitals.

Candela House in Soto de Dego, Spain by Zigzag Arquitectura

Wednesday, July 27th, 2011

Article source: Zigzag Arquitectura

A family meeting place.
The starting point was the need for a house large enough for the variable and regular  meeting of a family composed of 6 subfamilies,  with a total of 10 adults and 8 children. The idea was to create a family shelter, a place to meet and escape from urban life, with a low budget and the scarce construction resources available in a relatively isolated location.
