Returning to the site of my first crime, (Gymnase Louis Blériot, Nominated first work 2004), whilst never having understood why nominee and not winner, is like going on a date with your first unrequited love, or at least her sister who was prettier anyway.
Designing an athletic track could get you as bored as when you are running on it: curve, straight, curve, straight, again and again. Perfectly standardized, sport architecture has become more universal than international style. Track length of 400 m, 36.5 m radious. 1.22 m each lane….just data, without any fissure to let your imagination soar.
Software used: Designed the track in Rhinoceros with Grasshopper (parametric tool). This tool allowed the architects to create multiple variations of the solutions, varying its slope, size, orientation, surface… optimizing the solution.

Nestled amongst a forest of towers on Old Peak Road above Central Hong Kong, the Tregunter tower holds unique layered views of Victoria Harbor. The abundance of bay windows, structural walls and beams that are common to residential towers would appear to constrain the possibilities of the apartment. However, by turning constraints into opportunities, davidclovers re-works the volumes of this apartment by using the ceiling and the floor.
This is a residential house located in a new development site in Takarazuka, Japan. Because of the solid nature of the ground, we decided to make a building only by putting a roof over the sloped terrain without modifying it.
The Subdivided Columns project explores the use of algorithms to develop a new language of form. The columns are produced using customized subdivision processes. The allure of these processes is that despite using a very simple input, they can produce something that is extraordinarily complex.
This project is located in the most attractive area of Ljubljana, near the city center and surrounded by natural areas and plants. The main goal was to develop 100 quality housing units for people who wish to reside in a natural environment with their own garden. The project concept is based on the principle of garden cities reflected in the villas terraces. The buildings are growing in 3 «islands» of homes connected together so as to open up to the surrounding natural areas, gardens and patios.
The new Allianz headquarters is located in two buildings that correspond to contours defined by an urban plan set by Vittorio Lampugnani. Composed of one high rise and one 5-story building, the Allianz complex contains mainly office program, and defines the edges of the block according to the urban plan, itself based on a modified block structure. Both buildings in the complex are connected to one another through a series of bridges that enable the various office, gastronomic and retail facilities to accommodate one another and interact fluently.
