Fossalunga is a small village (nearby Venice) that grew up around the main street in a linear way. The buildings, that define the main square, are an ancient villa (XVIII° century) and the Church.
The office design for the corporate office for India Glycols embodies the issues concerning the workplace today, and explores the paradigm of the office space as a social activity. Sited in a non-contextual suburban area of Delhi, the setting, led to the development of an introverted scheme that would address environmental and socio-economic issues from first principles.
Orange Architects, a partnership between Dutch architecture firms JSA, CIMKA and HofmanDujardin, releases the design of a luxury apartment block on Plot 941 in Sin el Fil, an eastern district of Beirut. The design was commissioned by the Lebanese development corporation Masharii.
Transported by 2 containers and designed to be installed in 5 days, which are essential for an ephemeral and itinerant pavilion, the Mobile Cultural Mobilizarte consists primarily of 3 elements:
Marks
A set of scaffolding towers, lightweight temporary autonomous structures, which are easily assembled, very stable and adaptable to any kind of terrain. Mounted with different heights up to 10 m, their role is to define interior spaces, structuring floors and ramps as well as securing the cover. Their positions shall be defined according to the chosen installation site.
Designed as a large volume, with the entry markedly assumed by a gap between volumes, and enhanced by a sculpture panel that follows the entire entry route, the house shuts down the street contact and opens into the site through large glazed walls.
The design dmvA made for the office of XfactorAgencies, as an extension to the house, was relentlessly rejected by local building regulations. Used to working with limitations and blurring these boundaries at the same time, dmvA responded by designing a mobile unit, a blob. As a mobile construction and holding a high dose of art, it skirted round the strict building codes.
The site, located west of the city center in a former kitchen gardens area, was occupied by a small house built at the beginning of the century along the street, and by scattered shacks along the perimeter walls. These walls, two meters high, create an enclosure that protects the site from any outside views. Our project creates an inside space within this garden, and therefore frees the house from any extra protecting devices.
The Catalan architect Josep Lluís Mateo, founder of the Mateo Arquitectura practice, designed the new head offices of the PGGM insurance company in the city of Zeist.

Software used: AutoCAD, 3d max and Photoshop to design the architecture. The structure, installation, etc were designed by others studios and they probably used others programs.
The design was done in the context of a competition held by Terna in Italy. Terna is a private national electricity provider that is modernizing their network (about 60000km). Their programme has a notable economical and ecological outlook and the competition brief invited the competitors to specifically address these issues. The objective is to reduce the amount of electric lines (the line concerned by the competition will be cut down in length from 1200km to 800km) by modernizing it with more efficient equipment. Secondly Terna wishes to improve the environmental impact of the pylons on the landscape, obviously an important issue in a country as beautiful as Italy! Though the new pylons will cost about 3 times the existing ones, the reduced amount of electric lines will mean an overall cost saving. They feel the public image aspect is important enough to justify the cost of design and that it is justifiable considering the whole operation.
