Cienna Ultralounge is a venue in the heart of Astoria [Queens, NY] designed to offer the ultimate entertainment experience to the discerning New York crowd. If Cienna Restaurant is an exercise on experiential lightness, Cienna Ultralounge is an essay on softness. This project is conceptually linked to the mathematical clarification of the shape of a silk cocoon via a cosine Fourier series. Formally, the space transposes such geometric formalization into a meandering system of openings on the ceiling and walls.
Software used: The person who provides the lighting software installed a DMX controller at the DJ booth, which is a software to control the lighting – brightness, color, timing, action by sounds/music, etc…All of the LED lights above the acrylic rods are controlled by the software. The actual design of the space was tested in 3D max prior to construction, as is done for most of our projects since we employ organic forms and design systems that have often never been done before.
This property is located in the financial and commercial centre of the city, nearby one of the best office buildings in Madrid. With a distinctly urban character it presents a great opportunity to meet the city in two very different scales: an urban scale from the most important communication channel in Madrid, and a domestic scale, from a plaza with a leading pedestrian character.

Nestled between cooled lava flows, the Kona residence situates its axis not with the linearity of the property, but rather with the axiality of predominant views available to the site. Within the dichotomy of natural elements and a geometric hardscape, the residence integrates both the surrounding views of volcanic mountain ranges to the east and ocean horizons westward.

It’s a new cursor at the foot of the Troll Wall; The architecture of the new visitors`center next to E139 is an outcome of the sites` close connection to the impressive mountain wall, one of Norways many nature attractions. These simple ways of design gives the building its character and identity that makes the Service center an eye-catcher and an architectural attraction in the region.

The swing pavilion exists from a composition of fifty swings that consists of wooden squares which forms the construction. The swings are assembled to the beams and have three different altitudes: 5 meter, 4 meter and 3 meter. This offers the possibility to adults and children to make use of the pavilion. Swinging is an action which gives pleasure and joy to the user. By building a pavilion with several swings, this joy can be shared with each other. The users are constantly moving, from the high to low swings or with two persons on a swing. A composition of moving people arises.
