The Yu Bar is the glamorous new rooftop bar of the newly opened Shanghai Marriott Luwan. Located on the banks of the Lupu River overlooking the Expo 2010 site and the Lupu ridge the bar is located on the 28th and 29th floor and features a large terrace offering guests phenomenal views of the city.
Dr. Fehrmann decided to build her new practice in the centre of the lower Austrian community of Kasten. The community’s centre consists of buildings which surround a green park on three sides. On its fourth side, the park opens up towards agricultural fields and meadows. The premises lie on the edge of the park where its green spaces turn into agriculture. Keeping the valuable urban quality of the continuous green space demands a certain concept in which the building is not to be seen as such, so as not to disturb the geographical connection between the two green spaces.
The general object is the refurbishment and extension of the Secondary School ‘Garrotxa’ and its department for job-training enclosing new units of classrooms and workshops for training courses. Finally a new sports hall with multipurpose-character for social events completes the complex.
At a unique location in Amsterdam, between the old town and the IJ-lake and next to Central Station, The Oosterdokseiland (ODE) is situated. Here, more than 200,000 square feet of modern architecture with a special mix of functions will be realized: housing, offices, a hotel, a library, a conservatorium, shops, bars and restaurants. For this dynamic place HVDN/Studioninedots designed a residential building with restaurants and a department store in the plinth. The building was recently completed and is characterised by a ‘chasm’, the specific shape of the apartments and the luxurious finish.

Set on an urban grid, the Taichung Metropolitan Opera House defines the cultural axis and its site is influenced by a number of urban force fields, with secondary influences further shaping its implicit flows.
On February 15 2005, an agreement was signed between the City of Madrid and the Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid (COAM) to coordinate a set of actions towards the restoration of the complex of Escuelas Pías de San Antón, that had suffered a fire few years before. It included an architectural competition and the subsequent development of the winning project.
Hope Forest is a sport center in the outskirts of Bogotá where the community can practice several sports and take part of different recreational and academic activities that lead to a cooperative community. This project was made possible thanks to the foundation “Pies Descalzos” founded by the well known singer Shakira and the Spanish ONG “Ayuda en Acción”.
The proposal is the result of a process that is based on three variables which together articulate and give the narrative to ideas. The first responses how to adapt the piece to the land being consistent with their morphology to achieve better orientation, privacy and views in greater depth of field.
The second has to do with the idea orientations to analyze the context that we find in the background, it means, the distant views of the mountains where we find the similar lines between the mountains and rooftops.
The first step towards future Klasvík is a central situated square referring to the former landscape (the beach) in formations of the ancient building material the stone and the new industrial history – the beginning of Klaksvík – the stone pavements for drying fish – «Fiskastykki». The new Klaksvík will meet in a environment describing the essence of Klaksvík with the new layer of today´s life in an urban space for people to meet, engage and live modern life.
A symbol of China’s, the Great Wall (GWC) snakes through the countryside over deserts, hills and plains. The GWC was created under Qin Empire (221-206 BC), but most of the current wall dates from de Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), with approximately 6.400Km. Around 40% has disappeared, 20% has been restored and 40% is in poor condition, in approximately 2.450Km to apply RGB_Project This proposal aims to generate the occasion and potential of the GWC as a main axis through the northern China, in the boundary with Inner Mongolia, a region that is important as a potential break for advancing desertification and climate change, to generate Green_Spots along this natural path in sustainable and replicable landscape structures to help stop desertification, revitalize the area and be an asset to the population: the N=MxRGB_Project.
