ArchShowcase Archive for 2012Oxnard Marina Residence in California by Bondanelli Design GroupTuesday, October 16th, 2012Article source: Bondanelli Design Group This two story, 8000 s.f. residence is located at the intersection of two channels within the Oxnard Marina. Being a vacation home, and given the maritime location, the house has a strong Asian theme, and conceptually is inspired by a south East Asian village, with most of the rooms having a separate roof structure, as a cluster of pavilions.
The curvilinear separation between kitchen and public spaces is taken from the shape of the client’s boat docked just outside.

Hublot Pop-Up Store in Paragon Shopping Mall, Singapore by AsylumTuesday, October 16th, 2012Article source: Asylum Taking advantage of the majestic void space in Paragon Shopping Mall Singapore, an art installation, which spans across two floors, sweeps impressively across the area, inviting a sense of excitement and wonder. Tens of thousands of “black gems” rain down from above, resonating with the momentary quality of a pop-up store – an ephemeral, fleeting point in time, caught in a still image. Illustrating the legacy of the Hublot brand and its innovations, the installation seeks to recreate its notable paradoxical philosophy with an illusory space; magically solid yet porous and structurally monumental yet light.
