SC PTV House in Nayarit, México by Luis Aldrete Arquitectos

Saturday, June 9th, 2012

Article source: Luis Aldrete Arquitectos

The proposal is the result of a process that is based on three variables which together articulate and give the narrative to ideas. The first responses how to adapt the piece to the land being consistent with their morphology to achieve better orientation, privacy and views in greater depth of field.

The second has to do with the idea orientations to analyze the context that we find in the background, it means, the distant views of the mountains where we find the similar lines between the mountains and rooftops.

RGB Project Made in China by Archiactivity

Saturday, June 9th, 2012

Article source: Archiactivity

A symbol of China’s, the Great Wall (GWC) snakes through the countryside over deserts, hills and plains. The GWC was created under Qin Empire (221-206 BC), but most of the current wall dates from de Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), with approximately 6.400Km. Around 40% has disappeared, 20% has been restored and 40% is in poor condition, in approximately 2.450Km to apply RGB_Project This proposal aims to generate the occasion and potential of the GWC as a main axis through the northern China, in the boundary with Inner Mongolia, a region that is important as a potential break for advancing desertification and climate change, to generate Green_Spots along this natural path in sustainable and replicable landscape structures to help stop desertification, revitalize the area and be an asset to the population: the N=MxRGB_Project.

Article source: Natalie Dionne Architecte

The E3 House offers an interior environment that is almost monastic in its uncluttered serenity. A transparent tower and surrounding public square, Szervita Square moves away from closed forms and perimeter blocks to create a building and urban landscape that is porous, accessible and welcoming. A structure that extends Budapest’s rich architectural heritage, is inherently ‘in context’, yet also marks a radical new approach.

Spruce Art Center in Zhejiang, China by LYCS Architecture

Saturday, June 9th, 2012

Article source: LYCS Architecture

Located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, the site is flush with mature spruce trees and a pre-existing one-storey abandoned structure. The design is a mixture of two fundamental challenges in architecture: to evoke new spatial meaning while reconciling an existing structure, and to produce a formal language that can be dynamic and strong, yet carefully caress spruce trees. The Spruce Art Center design is inspired by traditional architectural aesthetics from the southern region of the Yangtze, known as the most desirable place to live in China. The architecture of this region is known to exude an intimate connection to water and to high-profile cultural institutions and people.

Saturday, June 9th, 2012

Article source: Dietmar Feichtinger Architectes

The school is distinguished by its spatial organization and design of the facades of their surroundings. The free form differentiates the building from its environment of rigid social housing characterizing the area ‘Province de France’ in Nanterre. There is a relationship point of view (a view relation) with the Paris business district La Défense. The highly frequented, Route Nationale 314 runs west to the school building. The site was excavated and earth mound planted.

G House in Buenos Aires, Argentina by G2 estudio

Saturday, June 9th, 2012

Article source: G2 estudio

Taking control of the entry of the natural light was the starting point of the design.to the interiors of the building not only from vertical openings but also of inner balconies and skylights. It is for this reason that the public space and circulations of the house is organized around a large skylight, and then the spatial form of continuous pieces is unleashing outdoors.

In 2012, Poland and Ukraine will be hosting the UEFA European Football Championship. For the occasion, a new national stadium will be built in Warsaw on the existing but crumbling rubble-built Dziesieciolecia Stadium abandoned for sports uses in 1988. The stadium is in Skaryszewski Park east of the city center on the bank of the Vistula, and will form the heart of a new sports park. The construction of the stadium is divided systematically into two. The stand consists of prefabricated concrete parts. Above this is a steel wire net roof with a textile membrane hung on freestanding steel supports with inclined tie rods.
