The design for the detached house CASA MAS has been designed with the aim of creating a state of great comfort at very high energy efficiency. The building includes a basement concrete open to a small patio and two floors made entirely of wood. The panels in X-LAM structure of the company ProholzEmilia, the external insulation, ceilings, roofing and finish are all designed in wood, this, combined with the plant design ensures a minimum standard of Class A, extended to Class A + with the completion of the PV system from 5 kWh.
High efficiency, high reversibility of the structural components, low environmental impact, 80% reduction of CO2 emissions: CASA MAS is a concrete example of significant architecture. The building has a “T” inverted compared to the north side of the road, allocating service areas and the sleeping area right at the front and reserving the best orientation to the south-east and south-west to the living area; the volume is “closed” to the road, protecting the two wings of the inverted “T” two distinct areas of the garden: the most intimate, almost enclosed by a courtyard overlooking the kitchen area and living room, part of ‘ garden and roof garden located close to the patio to the basement. The roof slopes have been carved according to the study of the Charter of the Sun A project is currently underway.
