Thursday, July 5th, 2012

Article source: Studiouno Design

Lime On is the new revelation of 2012. This American Bar is the latest creative challenge of Studiounodesign where art, functionality and economic convenience blend perfectly together.

The project stems from an idea of the two owners Paolo & Enzo. In order to recover as much raw material possible left over from a less recent establishment, now in a dilapidated state, the two owners made a low budget investment. Their goal is to offer customers, along with impeccable service, a place that transgresses traditional manners without losing sight of artful taste and comfort.

New Contemporary Art Museum in Buenos Aires, Argentina by Michael Arellanes II

Thursday, July 5th, 2012

Article source: Michael Arellanes II

In the current proposal for a Contemporary Museum of Art in Buenos Aires, the inception is based on synergetic plays of volumes and interlink-interlacing manifolds of tectonic forms and panels that create a dynamic fluxion of mass, surfaces and lines. The articulations involved relay on formal masses in an arrangement or in a cohesive group that perform more than the sum of its parts. The museum is multi-layered and composed of radiant volumes and pieces which converge in a poly-operational, structural, and sensuous array of tectonics. The effect of multi-generative forms grouped and working together as a performativewhole is a diverse set of fluid and crystallized components strategically placed for an outcome of a dynamic structure, which valiancy plays a role in the visual and experiential impact of the viewer.

Working with a modestsized parcel, the trick in the scheme was to minimize the footprint. This task was made all the more challenging by the client’s insistence on a four-car garage, as well as the splitlevel structure’s location near the bank of a narrow brook.
