 Article source: b10+n architects

The building of 42 social housing is situated on a triangular-shaped plot in the new district of Barajas, plot that results from the intersection between the diagonal street at south-western edge of the new urban extension and the orthogonal grid characteristic of this urban planning. This intersection generates half-surfaced plots that are located in edge position.

Article source: Bentley Systems, Incorporated

What is now 1,200 acres of sand will soon become a spectacular new community that combines waterways, harbors, lush landscapes, and dramatically designed skyscrapers. Thompson, Ventulett, Stainback (TVS) & Associates, the architectural firm charged with designing the Lagoons in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, envisions the project as seven islands. Each island thematically represents an emirate of the UAE and encompasses several specific, yet interrelated, functions that include central business districts, world-class retail shops, entertainment zones, cultural centers, and mixed-use residential buildings.

Footbridge Over the River Marne in Meaux by DVVD

Saturday, September 8th, 2012

Article source: DVVD

The footbridge links the centre of Meaux, more particularly the station, to Grand Ile, a medieval district located within a bend of the Marne. The decision to locate the bridge on the bend of the river allows it to provide a greater number of views, and increases the ways in which the structure can interact with its environment.

Article source: Paul Bernier Architecte

The house is in Montréal, on a densely built block in the Plateau Mont-Royal neighborhood. An extension and a transformation of the house had to be made to allow for a family of four. Two rooms had to be added, one for the kids and one for the adults. The house also had to be rethought to make it a coherent project in its spirit and materiality.
