The organizational scheme is due to similar patterns of organic micro-structures, more in line with patterns of liquid and/or gelatinous geometry than with Cartesian structures. It sets up a framework by using a soft geometry and a unified airy treatment of space.

The new space is conceived as a continuation of the existing hedge, wrapping it all, but without hiding: expressing its new identity, not only as a constructed element, but also as a re-forested element. A new plant species has grown and enveloped the area … the new scalar similarity among plant elements renders the proposal a new understanding of the link to the existing elements.

This species is made up of recycled plastic tubes of different colouring similar to the natural, which like “reeds, canes …” organizes a flexible and deformable organic plait amenable to adapt to any situation and geometry.

MARISOL RESTAURANT, proposes the construction of a new space as an annex to their existing facilities to accommodate additional uses in the event: varied situations have in common the need for a sheltered space, eminently open and differentiation of environments: sum ambiguous uses in one space without losing each their own specificity: covered terrace bar, lounge, TV and dance …

The new space is located on the SE corner, silting the triangle between the projection of the two roads and the existing building.

Program structure, organization chart reflects similar patterns to those of micro-organic structures, patterns more consistent with geometries liquid and / or gel that Cartesian structures. The fact propose an sum of program uses as ambiguous in the melt need only space but unfinished dissolve in the whole working guidelines established using a geometry “soft” and a unified spatial processing “airy”.

The introduction, therefore, air-bubble light in that space and determine a connection laws “magmatic” establish a final geometry similar to microscopic views of micro-organisms, where the existence of elements floating in a thick magma is pervasive, establishes a law iso-morphic without direction, only deformed by the pressure of the contours and unlimited growth potential.

In these geometries the perimeters acquire special relevance, since they must possess a dual capacity: the closure or container and adaptation to external pressure: for it is generated again a bag inside another bag, getting a gap that acts as a cushion, able to adapt to any external geometry (street, existing building, etc..) without losing its functionality inside.

PLACE-Given the existing building – installed in an apple clearly defined, but in turn composed the tune of buildings of different bill, made also in different time steps-how to operate a new performance, we propose an intervention without scale, looking for connections with the unifying element of all: the plant perimeter fence that surrounds it. So, both internally and externally, all perimeter identified by that plant friendly and suggestive that surrounds it.

So therefore, the new space is conceived as a continuation of the existing fence, wrapping it all, but hidden: expressing their new identity, not as constructed element, but as a re-forested. A new species to the new space enveloping sprung … scalar similarity between elements “plant” makes the proposal a new understanding of the link with the existing connection.

PICTURE-This new plant species proposes a closure permeable, breathable, acts as both solar control and thermal as visual filter.

This species is made from a recycled plastic tubes of various colors similar to the natural, which like “reeds, …” organizing a braided flexible and deformable organic capability to adapt to any situation and geometry.

This enables adaptation to urban traces to existing buildings perimeters and providing the space and the set of a homogeneous view without losing the original spirit as event space.
The friendly relationship and “natural” presence with vegetated perimeter also invades the new action.

Inside the space is diluted between air bubbles, light, pillars, like a forest that would establish a similar environment to cover a large natural area: areas of darkness, light gaps, etc. atmosphere …. next to dreams of beginning of the nineteenth century naturalists, full of mystery and fascination with the possibility of annexing definitely technical nature.

Autarkic STRUCTURE-A forest of slender columns (60 and 80mm in diameter) transmits the loads from the roof slab 20cm to 25cm slab foundation on a compacted sub-base over gravel fill. The foundation has air conditioning ducts 15cm concrete which in turn serve as containment perimeter of the sub-base. Each pillar receives a minimum load and are articulated joints, this allows the auto-load distribution depending on the grouping of pillars or not. A series of inclined columns absorb horizontal forces.

CARPENTRY WITH GLASS BEARING-The thermal shutdown is solved by a laminated glass 10 +10 on flat and curved anodized aluminum concealed frames of Vitrocsa. The bearing system causes the lower sliding support the glass run directly on these bearings. The woodwork, therefore, is reduced to a profile that protects the glass edge.

Acoustic concrete-glass surfaces and concrete walls that make up the project have a poor acoustic performance. This is why we have worked the surface of the roof slab through a system of “egg cup” on a formwork which is a sheet mold drainage waterproof sheeting normally used against ground wall. This makes textured wave breaks and reduce the reverberation of the room. In support, overlap each round wood ceilings in areas with higher noise level.

RECYCLING MATERIALS In the dividing-existing building, used a polyethylene coating SALVAVERDE recycled, normally used as protector of grass in heavy traffic areas, returning to the conceptualization plant building. In the yards have also been reused waste materials, such as slag glass factory, rejections of volcanic stone, etc.
