Levin Residence in Arizona by Ibarra Rosano Design Architects

Saturday, February 16th, 2013

Article source: Ibarra Rosano Design Architects

Three simple volumes hover above the desert, responding to the challenges of a sloping site and to an ethic of building with minimal disruption to the natural environment. The available buildable area was bifurcated by a minor drainage-way, which inspired the architects to leave the cars behind and link the parking area to the main house by a bridge that allows rainwater and wildlife to flow beneath it.

Ajax Beauty Salon in Osaka, Japan Yasunari Tsukada Design

Article source: Neoplus Sixten inc.

We were commissioned to design the premises of a newly opened hair salon within a multi-tenant building located in Kyobashi, an old downtown area of Osaka. During our visit, we found the site to be a pleasant, well-lit space with many windows. The owner’s requirements were for “a styling space that brings sunlight into the interior while also hiding the exterior landscape from view.”

Designing he Tokyo office of multinational recruitment specialists CDS was an opportunity to renew and maximize the value of their existing two-story premises. After appraising a full range of space use options, BAKOKO transformed the second floor into an efficient and modern workplace with a sleek and attractive facility for meetings and interviews below. The project was phased across the various floors of the building to mitigate disruption to the company’s day-to-day operations.

The original (wooden) facade of tailoring striker was already in a very poor condition and a modern pharmacy is not appropriate, so decided tp3 architects to redesign the appearance. The new structure is a post and beam construction also brought to the stock. This allowed the existing steel columns unlocked and later facade insulation of the entire building to be prepared.

Article source: Nice Architects

Imagine former site of old outdoor amphitheater virtually unsuitable for residential development. Terrain too steep for comfortable traffic, sloping northward preventing proper isolation  On the other hand it is offering spectacular views on Bratislava and proximity of one of the oldest park in Bratislava.
