Tecnova Headquarters in Almería, Spain by Ferrer Arquitectos

These buildings are laid out according to a strip arrangement, creating an ordered and functional design which sets out clear entrances and highly versatile, multi-purpose spaces. There is a main communications strip, which is the backbone of the design, created as a glazed area with climbing vegetation and scattered courtyards that provide interesting sequences for the visitor/user.

We are used to perform spectacular photographic reports retouched in photoshop to show a perfection, which is neither true, nor is attractive in my opinion. We focus on an architecture more intuitive and emotional than intellectual and rational, where raw sincerity of its construction. We try to generate emotions, derived from the configuration of space and form, use of materials, their textures, their relationship with nature and light.

Campeche Apartments in Mexico City, Mexico by Ambrosi I Etchegaray

The site 15m wide by 25m deep is located in Campeche Street, inside Colonia Condesa. The project is comprised of four housing units overlapping each other, two of them with the public areas to the street and the other two to the rear of the property. The houses try to break the sense of depth in the site through courtyards and terraces in the front, middle and back of the property, to which all the spaces of the houses live; in this way each of them has an immediate extension to an outer space.

The sea is always an enormous challenge for an architect. The Mediterranean Sea is the most unusual site. The infrastructure works started with the opening of the new mouth that effectively divides theBarcelonaharbour into two areas: small and big ships. The urban mission of the project is to provide an extension at the south point to the city waterfront. The project includes a public plaza opening to the sea, a marina and a landmark hotel, a wonderful icon for a cosmopolitan city.

The volume is developed in lineal plant just breaking for forming an open courtyard and distributing itself in a three floors height, it is leaned adjusting to the sides of a rectangular base block of a certain height over the levelness with a basement extending on the plot creating an open in between space but covered, the loggia.

The client requested a residence in a private section of Zapopan for a family of four members. After the analysis of the program made, and as the family has teenager children, we conclude that the house had to have various levels of simultaneous interaction. With independent spaces that could eventually participate in the same event by joining each other to greater capacity for visitors.

The ground seems inappropriate for the building. With a very steep slope, which extends from south to north, the first impact is the extreme difficulty for the implementation of a house. the project provides an initial response to this setback, refusing to shape the land with retaining walls, and taking advantage of the slope to \”drop\” the program of the house and dividing the volume in two separate platforms, connected with a vertical element that binds these two moments.

The center is a place of care, sharing and coordination of various activities for supporting and relieving handicapped children and their families in the Cahors area. Located on the left bank of the Lot, The “Terre Rouge” district gradually slopes towards the river. A complicated underground where clays and big limestone blocks resist to geometry.

In South Korea, the study, design, and sales of housing have developed into a discipline serving an ascendant middle class with amenities and technologies that are significantly sophisticated. The “model home gallery,” a nexus for consumerist desires and corporate strategy, not only contains sales offices with model homes, but also a variety of public amenities for the adjacent community.
