Barry Berkus was known by many for his grand, open-space, multi-generational architecture. Barry was voted Architectural Digest’s Top 100 Architects in 1991, holds a portfolio of over several thousand structures and received over 450 design and planning awards. He consistently won awards from the nation’s most prestigious design show, the Pacific Coast Builder’s Conference (PCBC), and most recently for the MariSol Showcase Estate which won the House of the Year in 2011.

The readers of Residential Architect selected Berkus as one of the ten most significant figures of 20th Century residential architecture. In 1999, Builder magazine counted Berkus as one of the 100 most influential individuals in the past century of American housing.
