Article source: Areal Architecten

As the end of a row of houses is positioning itself a sculptural volume that is freed from under the harness of the Flemish typology. The compulsive grid behind the neighbors are hiding in this corner house broken up into unbound use of space, surrounded by a pretty pattern of window openings.

Article source:  ACXT Arquitectos

Facing Pontevedra, on the other side of the river Lerez, an untidy urban setting has developed with a mixture of houses and amenities. It is an environment that demands clear actions that will regenerate the urban surroundings. The renovation of the old Pasaron stadium tried to liberate space on its perimeter in order to create new urban squares and green areas for the enjoyment of neighbours and to allow for an easier access to the stadium.

THE NEST by Noumena Architecture

Thursday, July 4th, 2013

Article source: Noumena Architecture

A space influenced by the desire to have a place reserved just for yourself in your own house. The main room is transformed into one suspended environment, where walls and floor become separate entities without any continuity. An elevated gallery breaks this harmony. The Nest, overlooking the rest of the house, becomes the main point of observation of domestic activity and a site for personal introspection.

New Public School for Primary Education “Ave Maria-Patxi Larrainzar” in PAMPLONA, Spain by Taller Básico de Arquitectura

Thursday, July 4th, 2013

Article source: Taller Básico de Arquitectura

Project Description

The current educational center and its most recent expansion seem to announce a first solution for a new expansion. A U-shaped volume – a scheme justified in finding the best light for teaching – attached symmetrically to the last building, could solve the need for a playground that the program also required. This accepted U-shaped piece opts, however, for going against such an announcement, turning to stand facing El Salvador Church, one of the most urban buildings of the place.
