A single-family detached house project includes both – extension and refurbishment of an existing one storey building. It is made for a coupe with two children, who likes to spend time with their family.
Compact, perpendicular shape of a building is marked with irregular openings, contrasting by colour. Substracting rectangular blocks from the main building block allowed to create a terrace, loggia and an additional space in front of the entrance area. The facades of the building are finished with graphite plaster.
The existing structure located inside the new building, allowed to elevate part of the living room(?) and create a double volume day area which leads on the second floor to the night area. Thanks to this simple action, a person who is in the living room feels the space and has visual control over the house, wherever he/she is.
Functionality as well as modern form with its contrasting white and graphite elevations create the effect of high aesthetic quality and attractive design of the house, which respects the existing surrounding and integrates harmonically with the landscape .
