Casa Itaim – Events in Sao Paulo, Brazil by St Arquitetura e Consultoria

Wednesday, August 21st, 2013

Article source: St Arquitetura e Consultoria

We developed the design of this elegant event space in SP in three essential concepts: good taste, sophistication and integration with nature. Therefore, your outdoor garden, which can be viewed from any angle of the Great Hall, becomes a major attraction of the place. The “transparency” of areas, including the integration and flexibility to adapt to each space a specific event, were the major concern.

CORE Modern Homes by Batay-Csorba Architects

Wednesday, August 21st, 2013

Article source: Batay-Csorba Architects

Core Modern Homes combines environmental performance with a constantly evolving visual experience into and out of the townhouse project. The building’s facades are animated with a series of large perspectivally oriented windows that work to maximize natural light and ventilation into the depths of each floor, while extending visual limits of the house to embrace the primary view corridors of the site. The diagonally shifted and cantilevered planes of the facade provide dynamic visual movement along the two primary streets.

The Constable´s House in Pamplona, Spain by Tabuenca & Leache, Arquitectos

Wednesday, August 21st, 2013

Article source: Tabuenca & Leache, Arquitectos

This was a project to restore an old sixteenth-century palatial mansion, which was in ruins and had undergone major renovations and alterations over time, particularly during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

Through an extensive cleaning and restoration process, the building´s original appearance and size resurfaced, exposing the old wood-paneled ceilings that were hidden behind false ones throughout all of the rooms.

House of Dust in Rome, Italy by Antonino Cardillo architect

Tuesday, August 20th, 2013

Article source: Antonino Cardillo architect

In this house classical orders and proportions celebrate dust. The golden section divides the sides of the living room: a light grey base supports a ceiling of rustic plaster of the colour of the bare earth. Craving for primordial caverns, for Renaissance grotesques, for nymphaeums in Doria Pamphilj, for faintly Liberty façades in the streets off Via Veneto.

Helena’s Villa in Sliema, MALTA by Grech & Vinci | Architecture & Design

Tuesday, August 20th, 2013

Article source: Grech & Vinci | Architecture & Design

A site bounded by other dwellings necessitated a villa concept designed with privacy in mind.

Angular, modernist geometry interprets the sense of protection given by a castle; monumental from the outside, but opening up into private internal courtyards and light-filled living spaces once within.
