ALLEY house in Sumida ward, Tokyo by APOLLO Architects & Associates

Thursday, October 10th, 2013

Article source: APOLLO Architects & Associates

A client for a house, of which I designed and supervised eight years ago, got married and bought a small lot near Tokyo Skytree, which is located in a place with a downtown atmosphere. Due to difficulty of construction within the small narrow site at the end of a narrow path, a wooden construction was chosen. Soft, dark brown Galvanized steel exterior walls create a Japanese impression, and the house naturally blends into the old neighborhood.

By using glass walls on the street side, indoor views include the surrounding environment.

Thursday, October 10th, 2013

Article source: Martin Lejarraga Architect

Previous State

The general evolution and the accelerated changes of the city of Torre Pacheco bring with them actions that, from the field of architecture and Urbanism, contribute to develop in an organized, joint and integrated way all the parameters affected by the demographic, socioeconomical, multi-racial, cultural and touristic growing process, that finally propose a new urban model alternative to the one already known for the city, in which all these changes have started to act, actually, in a really fast way.

SEASIDE VILLA by ARCHITETTURA MATASSONI

Thursday, October 10th, 2013

Article source: ARCHITETTURA MATASSONI

CONTEMPORARY REFUGE – Investigating the relationship between freedom of architectural expression and its limit, beyond which it expires in the style and in the arbitrariness, the project aims to create a living environment rich and free in its use, seamless continuity between the exterior and interior spaces characterized by fluidity and by the lack of a functional purpose rigid but flexible and interesting.

Les Eléis, a shopping centre between sea and sky by Arte Charpentier Architectes & CALQ Architecture

Thursday, October 10th, 2013

Article source: Arte Charpentier Architectes & CALQ Architecture

A new urban space open to the city. This project for restructuring an existing shopping centre built in 1977 responds to issues surrounding urban and landscape requalification and fits within a plan to redevelop the east side of the city. More than a shopping centre, the project involved creating a new urban space that attracts people to meet and visit, and that contributes to the expansion and enhancement of Cherbourg-Octeville.
