Idea.
The project for the new mosque in Prishtina takes the interplay of the single religious believer and the community of believers as the starting point for its design. The mosque is a place for worship for the Islamic community, where the single believing individual meets within the community for the common worship and praying which thus becomes an expression of the ceremonial act within the community.

Asymptote’s design for a new Center of Performing Arts for the city of Sejong in South Korea celebrates the cities emergence and growth as a place of stature and culture. The proposal calls for an architecture centered around notions of contemporary urbanism as expressed through a distinctive and unique envelope and object-bulling perched on an open site that connects the city, a park and nearby waterway.

The intersection of two streets in the center area of Tel Aviv, creates a particular site with a triangular shape.
The building, from the early 60’s, includes 6 floors, having one apartment on each floor.
The particular shape of the site was reflected on the original design of the building, creating a semi circular plan with only 3 round big columns.

WCU’s Health & Human Science Building is the first facility constructed as a part of the University’s Millennial Initiative, setting both aesthetic and planning directions for the new 344-acre campus. The facility provides state-of-the-art learning environments for five departments and nine disciplines within the College. Nested into the mountainside, without immediate built context or relationship to the existing campus, the design is a direct response to both site and program.
