MicroPark Museum in Sulmona, Italy by MOAB ARCHITETTURA

Thursday, December 19th, 2013

Article source: MOAB ARCHITETTURA

The main purpose of the project is the promotion of the archaeological site of Largo Salvatore Tommasi, in the historical center of Sulmona. Rests of mosaic floors and walls decorated with polychromatic plaster were found on site and they most likely belonged to a large building of the Augustan age.

The discovery itself and then the enhancement of the ruins become an opportunity to reclaim urban area – with high potentials – considered at present only as “retro” or transfer path .

Thursday, December 19th, 2013

Article source: Rossetti Architects

Clear, effervescent + in-line with a risk-taking, entrepreneurial spirit was the client vision that inspired this eye-popping, yet sophisticated environment for the Rock Companies Executive Suite. ROSSETTI translated the “live, work, play” lifestyle into offices that are executive, yet don’t take themselves too seriously. This office interior ignited a downtown city’s resurgence, bringing life and energy into the once tired and gray city. The vibrant offices mimic the owner’s vision for the city; high-energy and elegant.  Dominate design inspirations include spaces that are clear, effervescent, and executed in eye-popping color and playful design elements.

The design for the Theatre Spijkenisse focuses on the placement and orientation of the building in the urban location, whilst simultaneously providing architectural solutions for programming needs and public access.

Traffic flows play an important role in the organisation of the building. Access routes to the theatre form an essential artery for the city, with the theatre providing a point of recognition for returning visitors and functioning as a visiting card for the city as a whole.

FAMILY VAULT IN Elche, Spain by ESTUDIO ARN ARQUITECTOS

Thursday, December 19th, 2013

Article source: ESTUDIO ARN ARQUITECTOS

The funerary volume is located between the existing boxes of niches and creates a compact and dense piece of stone that completes the horizontal landscape of this area of the cementery.

A vault is created to preserve and protect the memory of the deceased people and, at the same time has to generate an intimate and quite space for the family. This way, we propose a dense box of horizontal tiles of grey stone which is externally perforated by only two hollows: the door and the cross.
