The living, dining and kitchen areas of this 2-storey semi-detached house have been designed as one large AV and entertainment space, efficiently soundproofed by double glazed sliding-folding doors. The two side walls that flank this space were intentionally built to taper towards the rear.
This creates a slightly funnelled space that not only enhances the acoustic qualities of the room but also enables storage niches along the thicker ends of the walls to house hi-fi equipment.
The purpose of the space was to raise awareness of the importance of sustainable construction and dissemination through the design of environmental problems.
The theme is \”sustainable housing\” and through the establishment of a minimum housing space addressed issues relating to the rational use of energy, natural resources, water, materials, etc.
Under the Expo 2017 theme \”The Energy of the Future\”, S+A concept proposes an enduring landmark in Astana that integrates renewables, efficiency, clean technologies and sustainability into livable and feasible architecture where \”Energy is Life\”.
The house for a psychologist, a nurse and their young daughter is designed as the extension of an existing one-floor building in the historic center of Polignano a Mare, in southern Italy. While the old tufo facade remains almost unmodified, the new volume above is clearly defined through the use of lighter materials: a double skin system – made of glass/aluminum large windows screened by steel and wood retractable panels – allows natural light in, while preventing heating.
The wish of this client was a white contemporary minimalistic residence in combination with an office space. Architects Maxim Winkelaar and BobRonday made a design that exactly suits the wishes of the client.
The house consists of two floors. The ground floor consists of two rectangular volumes, the smaller rectangular volume is rotated 90 degrees. Glazed window frames are the connection between the two rectangular volumes which is the entrance of the residence and contains an atrium to the upper floor.
(Harbin, China, August 29, 2013): spatial practice has designed the Harbin High Speed Railway (HSR) west train station Twin Towers. The iconic project includes: office spaces, residential apartments, retail spaces and a hyper link to a new underground infra-structural hub.
China has the world longest High Speed Rail (HSR) network that connects the entire country from north to south and from east to west. In the city of Harbin, the new West Train Station will become the northern China gateway connecting to China’s major cities with daily high-speed links to Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
The new experimental center for the audiovisual production it is located in the occupied zone by the old infantry quartering of the actual Technological scientific park of the city ofLeridain Gardeny. This infrastructure starts with the creation of MAGICAL, a complex with Equipping and services for the creation of audiovisual contents addressed to various fields and market strategies.

0-3 exhibit is a space that seeks to bring nature integrating play, perception and expression, stimulating the imagination through the senses.
The space is located within the Children’s Museum and forms an area of 140m2.
Development of the project began with an analysis, concept development and game proposals developed by Gruba.
The realization of the technical building facilities within the scope of the architecture led to a planning model with five thematic blocks: Hall, Premiere, Forum, Gastronomy and Double Cone.
Hall
A low-tech concept optimized ecologically using high-tech methods
The technical solution here is based on previous experience with large halls. All of the necessary features were realized successfully according to a low-tech concept. The interrelations of daylight and artificial light with ambient climate and acoustics influence people’s feeling of well-being in the Hall. The concept for the technological building systems takes up these relationships and integrates them in an interdependent manner, adapting their range of influence by modifying their dimensions or building in appropriate control mechanisms. A major goal in designing the systems was to save energy.
Uniting the faculties of Law and Political Science within a single, modern campus for 5,000 students, the project has created flexible new facilities for Turin University, as well as establishing new connections between the institution and wider community. The design links the former Italgas site on the southern bank of the River Dora with the neighbourhood of Borgo Rossini, regenerating a formerly industrial quarter close to the historic heart of the city, and turning the former source of Turin’s energy into an educational powerhouse to drive future prosperity.
