A site bounded by other dwellings necessitated a villa concept designed with privacy in mind.

Angular, modernist geometry interprets the sense of protection given by a castle; monumental from the outside, but opening up into private internal courtyards and light-filled living spaces once within.

Sustainably repurposing urban piers.
Arverne Dunes is a new waterfront concept for neighborhood redevelopment of Far Rockaway New York post Hurricane Sandy. It features both urban and suburban attributes. Embracing its city surroundings with urban density, the design capitalizes on the site’s coastal elements retaining the feel and lifestyle of a beachfront town. The plan emphasizes the Community Board’s priorities, aiming to meet the needs of developers, Rockaway residents and New York City government’s updated FEMA recommendations for this flood zone area. The site plan fosters beach community ambiance for 1,000 new dwellings, 200,000sf of commercial space, in addition to recreation, a medical clinic, doctors’ offices and community facilities.

This house is for a family of four in the city of Gifu.

It is located one block away from the main street and has a residence area and stores on the east side, on the other side, there is a field on the west side and the rice fields on the north side.

Using spacious scenery of nature from the west and the north side, I was inspired to create a landscape of a ground.

The single family house is located in Klosterneuburg, a small town north west of Vienna, framed by the Vienna Woods and vineyards and the Danube river. The client who has been living as a tenant in the building for 6 years experienced all advantages and disadvantages of the 1902 build house.

Swidnicka crossing in Wrocław, Poland by Major Architekci

In October 2013 the office MAJOR ARCHITEKCI has won a competition for reconstruction of the crossing on the Świdnicka Street (which crosses Casimir the Great Street). This is a new changed form of the project. It will be build in 2016, when Wrocław will be European Capital of Culture. The project involves changing function of underground crossing. By 2014 year there will be an Art Gallery.

The site is located in sub-tropical climate zone characterized by its hot and humid weather. According to this, the strategy of this project emphasizes the utilization of the natural resources in this climate condition. The adopted methods include solar energy, rainwater reuse, and an outdoor temperature cooling mechanism via the setting of the micro-climate.

Alqueva Collective Stage in Alentejo, Portugal by Tiago Vieira

The Alqueva water reservoir is the biggest artificial Lake of Western Europe and it’s located in the Portuguese region of Alentejo. Like most of the Portuguese countryside, the younger population of this territory is leaving and therefore the remaining population is decreasing and getting older.

In the area around the Alqueva water reservoir there are several little villages and small towns, although there are a significant amount of settlements they are not strong enough to create internal or regional dynamics.

The 4th edition of the international competition Arquine (2002) was assembled by the State Goverment of Puebla (México) trough out the Cultural Committee 5th of May, the Architecture Museum of INBA and the Association of Architects in Puebla. This competition had due to design a new information module to be located by the main access in the public park area of Los Fuertes.

Style to which the house – minimalism submits. Anything superfluous, only function to keep air and open space.
The house is intended for long rest in the country. The house has the drawing room kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms.The spacious platform adjoins to the house with the small pool.
