Friday, February 7th, 2014

Article source: Kengo Kuma & Associates

We piled up pieces of wooden panels to build the interior like topography. Various kinds of food-related items are laid out on this wooden ground. We expected that the chemistry would be just right for eating and the wooden stratum.

Layered configuration has also been designed for V&A at Dundee. This lounge is in a way like a nesting inside V&A.

Article source: Aamer architects

We have a long relationship with the Client. The project we did for them in 2001 is next to this house where we divided a bungalow plot into two separate but identical houses which won the prestigious Singapore Institute of Architects’ Design Award in 2004. That was ten years ago and recently they acquired the plot next door with the intention of building another home so altogether they have three houses for themselves and their two grown up sons and their future families.

Article source: ARANEA GROUP

El Valle Trenzado aims to recover the pedestrian’s traffic footprint. Since the channeling works that were made in the 70s definitely skewed Elche’s Canyon continuity. For years the citizens of the city went through this place hardly enjoying it.

This landform (which reaches 40 meters deep) gives the city a chance to travel in a few minutes to an area of high environmental quality.

Geoglifos Of Pintados Visitor Center in TARAPACA REGION, CHILE by WILLIAM OBREGON

1. LOCAL UNDERSTANDING

THE DESERT LIVES

The word “emptyness” is the informal term that we use to refer to the absence of content of a container or place. For the architecture, probably for the most orthodox, it is the absence of artificial or natural references, where everything is in the habit of being sustained almost acts. The desert is always a challenge for the architecture and probably the most similar thing to nothing. The absence of modals forces to a major degree of search in this particular landscape, which will be able to be defined of many forms, but it will never be one “not place “.

Friday, February 7th, 2014

Article source:  ITHAKA – Architecture and design

The project proposal consisted of sports and entertainment center with a restaurant part at the shore of the Yachensky reservoir in Kaluga. Due to the difference in the ground levels from the sidewalk towards the waterfront, the volume of the building is almost invisible from the sidewalk and harmoniously fits into the existing landscape.
