Lienzo de Barro House by Chaquiñán

Tuesday, February 25th, 2014

 Introduction

The project began when a matrimony decided to settle in the countryside. In a little house of bamboo and masonry upon the terrain, their habitants were determined to build their dreams. this marriage, who eagerly decided to renounce to most of their furniture, stuff and life style, moved here. Soon, their own needs that used to fill their vital spaces began to exceed the illusion to explore nature. At this moment, we were required to interpret the problem.

Article source: Elías Rizo Arquitectos

Casa DTF was built within the confines of a private residential community and raised similar privacy issues. In the case of Casa DTF the house program was resolved in three levels. The program distribution allows for a clear separation of private and public functions. The basement houses all service areas and the garage; the ground floor, which rises half a story above the street level, includes all public areas such as kitchen, dining and living spaces as well as a studio. The second level includes four bedrooms.
