With the use of materials and form, we wanted to create a project that’s insertion in the context in which it is placed, so light and less impact as possible. The roof is part of the ground and ends up in the ground, taking into account as prevailing direction of intervention, the director looking towards Monteriggioni.

Article source: Susanna Cots

The interior designer projects a space far from the traditional clinic, to create an ambience of well-being for patients

In her new project, Sensory order, Susanna Cots breaks the taboos to create a space far from the conventional: a metaphor that goes from disorder to order through design, materials and a white and organic palette, the latter being the interior designer’s distinctive signature.

Fire Shelter: Papay was built during a workshop at the festivalPapay Gyro Nights 2014. The shelter became the heart of the festival and the interior acted as a social and reflective space with a fireplace in the middle and seats along the shelter walls. The shape of the shelter referred to nomadic tents, and the construction created a great acoustics for songs and storytelling. The fire shelter reflected the spirit of the festival; by creating a world of its own where knowledge and poetry were shared.
