LAKE HOUSE in Austin, Texas by Andersson-Wise Architects

This structure, located on the steeply sloped bank of Lake Austin, is designed for downtime. A nearly mile-long path leads the visitor down the hill, over a suspension bridge constructed of individual segments strung onto cables that spans a ravine, and finally down to the boat house.

The ‘CANOPEE’ plot is located in the GINKO Eco-Quarter, north of Bordeaux. The plot is conceived by the architecture agency BROCHET-LAJUS-PUEYO. Two buildings on the plot are situated along a canal. As they wanted an architectural diversity for the buildings along the canal, the architects BROCHET-LAJUS-PUEYO kindly invited us to conceive the F building.

The chapel rehabilitation is for a new typology –a multi-purpose space for events—ranging from a formal wedding to the mellow ambiance of a yoga retreat. The reconstruction involved resolving the complex pathologies suffered by the original structure since being abandoned in 1969.

We were tasked with creating an unmistakable presence that will catch the eye of many visitors in order to share the beauty of the traditional crafts of Japan with the world. The exhibition areas are located in two distinct sections of the venue.
