By developing his own and very personal style, his signature has become unmistakable. The studio offers a careful and crafted product, creating a whole from scratch and always undergoing a sustainable creative and growth process. These are the basic premises of the firm, which has a solid base of clients and several renowned projects. Enthusiasm, creativity, professionalism and dedication have done the rest.

A dynamic and self-motivated team supports all the projects, apart from a great number of industrialists that collaborate in the materialization of all the designs.

UMO RESTAURANT

Umo is the culmination of a career that began with the opening of the Nomo Restaurant, which was followed by the Kuo Restaurant. The synthesis of forms and the balance with materials.

In Umo we find a dreamlike scene inspired by a forest turned into geometric shapes, capturing the essence of the organic and taking it to an industrial environment.

Wood and iron blend in a reflection of the tension between the industrial, the geometrical and the cold on one hand; and the organic, the curved and warm on the other.

Three separated areas: dining room, kiosks and a private area, each one offering a totally different atmosphere but in perfect formal synchrony. The dining area becomes a big stage where the great show cooking takes place and fills the place with dynamism and vitality.

As in all the projects by the Josep Cortina Studio, every item that define the interior decoration is made and designed exclusively with a specific space in mind, and thus it becomes a unique and unrepeatable object, functional as a whole and full of sensitivity on its details.
