 Image Courtesy © Michael van Oosten ‘Transport Marcel Depaire’ has been set up in 1964 through Marcel Depaire beginning in national transport across Belgium. The boom of the Steel industry and the opening-up to other countries, mainly France, brought a new dimension to the company in the seventies. Nadine Depaire, daughter of Marcel, decided to join the company in 1981. At the end of the eighties automotive manufacturers like VW and Renault became part of the customers. In this period, Just In Time delivery systems were set up and spread out over the whole of the industries. Since the beginning of 1998, new investments in the warehouse gave customers the possibility of storing and handling their products, preparing their orders and deliveries.  Image Courtesy © Michael van Oosten In 2014, the warehousing capacity and office facilities is increased with a new best-in-class & eco-friendly building. The extended warehouse of 3.000 m2 is cl-added with light grey insulated metal panels. The integrated office building faces north, a fully transparent glass facade provides a spectacular view over the corn fields. The facade, canopy and interior of the office building are completely white. The combination of white with the warmth of the floor tiles, the reflections of the glass walls and the interaction with the colours of the surroundings, provides a light and transparent workspace with spectacular changes of atmosphere and colour during the day.
