Although the cellar is surrounded by a vineyard, it is not associated with it. The relationship between the building and the surrounding area is practically nonexistent, largely due to the access road that makes a harsh separation between the building and the vineyard at the arrival zone. On the west part of the building, the separation between the vineyard and the building is less prominent, however a possible symbiosis between the built and the natural is unfulfilled by the strong and enclosed character of the warehouse.

Malawi is one of Africa’s least-developed countries. Especially in the rural areas the facilities are very limited. Which does not mean that there are no possibilities.
In co-operation with Sakaramenta, a social business based in the south of Malawi, Designers Pim van Baarsen and Luc van Hoeckel designed a complete playground from scratch. Located at an old parking lot of the side of the BEIT Cure hospital who specialize in orthopedic treatments for children.

As part of a large residential development in Melaka, Malaysia, that consists of more than 1000 houses of various types, Sandan Villas are only 7 in total, the high end products of this entire scheme.
The concept is based on an decomposition of the house into open boxes, where the edges seems to form a ribbon leading from one end to the other, from the entrance to the infinity pool, while preserving intimacy and orienting the main spaces toward the open views.
