The Harvard Art Museums’ Straus Center for Conservation and Technical Studies is the premier training ground for fine arts conservation and research. It plays a leading role both in the preservation of art and in the advancement of conservation science. The Straus Center supports the Harvard Art Museums by providing analysis of and treatments to the approximately 250,000 objects in all media in the museums’ collections, dating from ancient times to the present.

HOUSE X11 in Londrina, Brazil by Rodrigo de Biagi – Spagnuolo Arquitetura

The main concept for the house was the placement of the building on the terrain forming a “L”, creating a patio that integrates both social and intimate areas granting good sun orientation for its inner and outer spaces.

On the interior sliding walls creates flexibility and spacial integration, the natural light and ventilation comes through the big glass panels and roof openings. Six meter high pivot glass doors invites the user to contemplation of the swimming pool and garden.

Brick House in Mumbai,India by iSTUDIO architecture

The Brick House, situated amidst rural settlements in Wada, near Mumbai,India, is a 2500 sq.ft. farmhouse set within hills and farms. The impact of the architecture of the structure is strong, leading the viewer to a new observation, not allowing him to be complacent about the space which he occupies. The organic form emerges from the ground and flows into the skyline, following curved dips and peaks.

Ssense office in Montreal, Canada by Humà Design

Situated at the top of 333 Chabanel in Montreal, the new Ssense office takes an entire floor of a former textile factory and transforms the space into a modern office space, studio and warehouse. Both creative and avant-garde in their use of digital retail, Ssense was looking for something that could be edgy, contemporary, and luxurious.

The Sonorous Museum by ADEPT

In the listed ’Radio House’ of Copenhagen, by renowned Danish Architect Vilhelm Lauritzen, the Danish National Museum has recently re-opened its vast collection of historical musical instruments. The elegant modernistic building from the 1950’ies have gone through an extensive refurbishment, respectfully carried out to emphasize the unique character of the listed building’s materiality and detailing.

Foundation for Polish Science Headquarters in Warszawa, Poland by FAAB Architektura
