It was gained by choosing the right site – it means – on the end of the axis of the Baltic ferries. The new Guggenheim Helsinki Museum is not only a bridge between you and art but it also connects PARK located above the site with the travelers giving the opportunity to visit not only the Museum but also to relax after a long trip.  Image Courtesy © Jan Ledwon The building is an automatically and solid repeated composition of open spaces and closed art galleries, giving the opportunity to locate desired functions along the Path of the Art. The building aims to be right background for the art which is meant to be presented there. Almost wholly movable spacial and wall solutions provide the opportunity to fully close the gallery or rather move people’s hearts and make the gallery space vertical divisions turn to the be fully transparent and invisible. The art which is being displayed here is not only the main reason for the building but it also shapes the spacial solutions. Contemporary artists can improvise and research factors of the museum space. The building provides flexibility. The building of the Museum breaths art by the smoothly shaped curvature of the floor and the ceiling. It should be described as the main POINT in Helsinki.
