A library defined by a continuous vertical visual and physical flow, achieved by the connection of floors with usable stairs. A library without boundaries, allowing flexibility and future space adaptability.

The house consists of two structures, perpendicular to each other, and a third one serving the swimming pool.
Due to its volume this house seems to have two floors, but it is, in fact, distributed almost exclusively in one. The structure of the living rooms, with a double height ceiling, which also houses the study and the gallery located on the first floor, grants it another volume dimension.
Kengo Kuma & Associates won the first prize for the competition “Saint-Denis Pleyel Emblematic Train Station” in Saint-Denis, France.
The train station will be the first stone of a future global urban project in the site of Saint-Denis Pleyel. It will enable the site and the city to increase its metropolitan scale significantly. The project is designed as a unique opportunity to open up the district by connecting the two sides of the city over a huge railway network of the Parisian North station. The station becomes an extension of the public spaces on many levels. Multiple levels continue in spiral, so the station functions as a complex that brings in streets in vertical layer. Steel frames that evoke rail tracks are used in the curtain wall and many other parts of the structure, to emphasize the passage of time and history. This approach will make people be aware that the station is theirs and give them pleasant passing-by every day, connected with the network of the city.

This is a full renovation project for a room in a 1978-built apartment. From the window, a beautiful view of one of the Fukuoka sights, Ohori Park, can be seen. Water surfaces in the park reflect sunshine and change their expression throughout the day. The first design policy was a utilization of this scenic view.
The intervention interprets the building where is inserted, an old convent, as a context in constant transformation over time.
The project arises from a reflection around the creation process in contemporary art, its unpredictable condition and the current dissolution of limits between the space of production and exhibition. We can recognize that much of contemporary art expression understands the architectural space as a matter of work (we remember Shibboleth by Doris Salcedo breaking the floor of the Tate Modern in London in 2007, High Plane V by Katterin Sigurdardottir occupying the false ceiling of the PS1 in New York or Esto no es un graffiti where artists demolished some facings of walls in the same place of our project). We think the contemporary exhibition space shouldn’t be projected like a static room in time but like a never ending space in ellipsis, waiting for each exhibition come for completing it.
The Interlace in Singapore, a large-scale residential development by CapitaLand Singapore, has been chosen by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) in Chicago as the winner of the inaugural worldwide Urban Habitat Award 2014 in recognition of its groundbreaking contributions to the urban realm and social sustainability.
Ole Scheeren’s design generates an extensive network of private and shared spaces in a radical reinterpretation of contemporary life in a community. Instead of following the default typology of housing in dense urban environments – clusters of isolated towers – the design turns vertical isolation into horizontal connectivity and reinstates the notion of community as a central issue in today’s society.
The restaurant, conceived as a house in the woods, seeks to blend itself in the landscape. In order to leave the natural environment unchanged the existing trees were included into the façade structure of the building.
The architecture consists of two layers, the lower – transparent and the upper – opaque and ornamental.
The goal is to transform the site into a hospitality experience, the feeling of space and program into the art of experience, the actions into a viable and flexible development program.
The border: The listed buildings demarcate the central outdoor space with their shape, they accumulate the cultural activities, touristic infrastructure, hospitality, relaxation and entertainment programs (Interactive Museum, Agri-tourism, Baths, Accommodation). The enhancement of uses with reversible constructions of (container) type in a discreet relationship with the listed buildings reinforces the concept of limit and functions as a transitional element from and to the central area (Central Square), into the diffusion area (Natural Element).
