Restaurant \”David Toutain\” is an atypical and warm place makes of noble materials evoking the countryside. Association of leather, wood, polished concrete and brass which make of this place a unique place just like the star chef.

One big part of furniture and certain lamps were drawn by Caroline Tissier to offer to the restaurant owner a personalized interior design.

The decoration is just like the cooking of David Toutain, subtle, authentic and with a strong personality.

Article source: aat+makoto yokomizo architects

Located in a mountain village beside a man-made lake two and a half hours’ drive north of Tokyo, the Tomihiro Museum is dedicated to the work of local poet-illustrator Tomihiro Hoshino.  Since 1991, when the Museum first opened on the refurbished premises of a disused home for the elderly, an average of more than 1000 persons a day have made the trip here, for a ten-year total of over 4 million visitors—a surprising number considering the remote location.

Sanwell Office Building in Australia by Braham Architects

Wednesday, May 27th, 2015

Article source: Braham Architects

Located in the inner-Eastern Perth suburb of Welshpool, Sanwell’s new headquarters presents a contemporary language whilst respecting the surrounding industrial precinct aesthetic, proposing a complex, sustainable solution to a constantly evolving and challenging client brief. The form seeks to explore the proposition of how a commercial office can sit harmoniously within a staunchly industrial context, while still providing visual connectivity to the surrounds and amenity to natural light. Aesthetically it functions as both an homage to and an updated form of the adjacent factory typology, utilizing the existing language and vernacular of the industrial, while re-imagining it as a visually permeable beacon of sustainability, amenity and future flexibility.

House of 8 Gardens in Cuernavaca, Mexico by Goko MX

Wednesday, May 27th, 2015

Article source: Goko MX

“Smart Living”. The luxury of rest.
Today we live in an accelerated manner within the city. Quality of life is measured by luxury rather than experience. On this basis we opted for a practical and sincere architecture to respond to our customer needs, prioritizing internal open spaces naturally lit. Less square meters built allowed a better construction cost, less resources and greater interaction with nature.

Our goal was to create a house and relaxing experience of absolute rest and to contribute to a better environment improving life quality.

The project is the last one which Dushe team (www.shdsd.cn) designed in ECADI.

This fragmented system is frequently used as an interpretation of contemporary cities; the iconic fragment becomes the signature of the city. But the city itself contains abundant resources. The 99% of these fragments are unknown for the public, but the city is also composed of background buildings.
