Article source: ONEDB ARCHITECTURE The San Souci 2 House is a single-family home in Sans Souci, Fl. This 4,700 square foot, 5 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom is located in the heart of North Miami Beach.
One D+B Architecture designed an open, indoor-outdoor home; expanding on the structural walls of glass and connection to nature that was common in mid-century modern homes and somehow got lost with the invention of Air Conditioning. The completely operable walls allow the homeowners to truly open up the living space of thehouse, transforming it into an open air pavilion, extending the living area outdoors to the privateside yards, and taking maximum advantage of indoor-outdoor living opportunities. The conceptof borrowed landscape from traditional Japanese architecture was used to create natural landscaping to bound the indoor-outdoor space.
