He has SUZUKI’s big-size bike. She has HONDA’s big-size bike, too. They want to have a garage for 2 big-bikes in their house.
They wanted a house where there is a courtyard in the one-story. They wanted a home, such as use continuously the kitchen and the living room or bedroom through a courtyard. So we thought the arrangement small huts, such as surrounding the courtyard.
At the same time we thought an arrangement in which clearance of the small huts group has been equivalent to the courtyard. We can design the house with a visually and physically continuous feeling by placing the corridor and windows.
Here is one of the typical commuter town of Tokyo suburbs. In such a housing development area of Japan sometimes small house of the same kind of appearance will be built several hundred or more. This house is on the edge of the development area. It is still many open space but will be many of such houses lined up around this house after at least five years.
We were thinking about how to be converted design using the forms and materials and general-purpose technologies that are used around the houses.
Such an attempt is effective in reducing the construction cost.
