The client spent a long time searching for a top floor apartment to live in; as soon as he found this property, he was in no doubt and he purchased it. The current dwelling was converted from a dated 4 bed flat to a bright and airy space, creating a continuity between interior and exterior, benefiting from the spacious terrace and providing the most possible space to the remaining area. The exterior areas can be used all the year on thanks to good weather of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The building, which houses offices and a data processing center, aims to complete the building curtain of a block situated at the intersection of three urban axes. Its minimum volumetric articulation sets a moment of \”silence\” and abstraction against the linguistic overlapping of the context. The uniformity of prospects is obtained thanks to an innovative double membrane filtering façade system, provided with vertical sheets in silk-screen printed glass, which automatically pivot according to the incidence of sunlight to optimise internal lighting and heating conditions.
We designed the illumination display made using Android-operating devices, which can be found in the plaza facing TV Asahi known as Roppongi Hills Arena. Since this is the time of the year where people think most of connecting with others, we were tasked with providing an installation using around 600 Android-powered smartphones.
Blanc i Negre was based on the aim of recovering the essence of a traditional bar. Its cooking style reflects its environment: an interpretation of the local cuisine that stands up for the taste and quality of the local products.

King Street West is set in a transitional area of Toronto. From the tall towers of the Central Business District to the East, to the low-rise neighborhoods in the Northwest, the skyline is a mark of the city’s progress. Located at the meeting point of three 20th century neighborhood parks, BIG and Westbank propose a mixed use development with a public plaza that will create a new center for the community while connecting the various pedestrian pathways that crisscross the area.
The design solution of the business center in St. Petersburg has been developed for quite a large site which doesn’t have any essential changes of the area topography. It is supposed to build a separate three-storied building in the form of a simple, uniform volume with a monolithic framework. It is going to be used only by the company which owns it, so it has no areas for rent.
In August 2003, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey selected Santiago Calatrava to design one of the most emblematic projects in Lower Manhattan’s restoration: the reconstruction of the World Trade Center Transportation Hub. Based on Daniel Libeskind’s Masterplan, the new facility was to be located immediately east of the original World Trade Center Twin Towers. In January 2004, Santiago Calatrava unveiled his design.
The shape of the lot is short in north and south and stretches long in west and east. The lot is adjacent to a historic site on the east side.Also, the lot is located in a school zone. Lying within a residential area, there are a number of elementary, junior high and high schools as well as a city hall.The historical site is now developed into a peaceful park in which local residents gather and relax.Therefore, the east side of the lot is the most beautiful part of the residential area. People can enjoy the nature and the open sky.The site is designated as the Cultural Properties Protection Area. Excavation is required when developing the surrounding area that includes the lot. We are restricted in our building plan that we are only allowed to excavate 30cm from the surface as some pieces of kawara (roof tiles) from the Nara period (about 1300 years ago) were discovered through the pre-construction investigation.The building is completely closed on the west side facing the street and on the north side which is a vacant lot.
