CHS Field in Saint Paul, Minnesota by Snow Kreilich Architects and Ryan A+E

Wednesday, March 30th, 2016

Article source: Snow Kreilich Architects and Ryan A+E

CHS Field is conceived first as a park and a public space, and then as a sports venue.  Working with the City of Saint Paul and the St. Paul Saints, an independent league franchise committed to providing a unique fan experience, the design team slipped a 7,000 seat ballpark into a remnant site between an interstate highway, an elevated bridge, a light rail operations facility and the historic Lower town District on the edge of the City’s business district.

Wall House in Khaldiya, Kuwait by AGi architects

Wednesday, March 30th, 2016

Article source: AGi architects

As in the famous Lewis Carrol tale, Wall House is not what it seems. Is it a fortress that closes itself to the world? Or is it an isolated place that avoids all communication with the exterior? Not at all! Wall House by AGi architects communicates with its formalized solid skin, an existing concern in the city. It is the expression of those thoughts: “the all judging peeping tom”, “windows that looks towards the place where nobody wants to be watched”, “opened facades show only false and preconceived realities”.

TYPOLOGY

Effectively, this refurbishment of two apartments in Berga introduces a typology. Ah… then… but…where the hell is my square room? Believe it or not, at first glance one can be tempted to think that we are in front of a special project, site specific, tailored, unique… it is a matter of daring to propose it.

Acting as the main office and reception of the vast logistic center in New Taipei City, the ALP owners wanted to establish a reference design for the workplace in the warehouse setting. We utilized the properties of key elements of the logistic center to develop the space. Racking systems, pallets and shipping containers all have the ability to form multi-level spaces within a space, carrying new products and possibilities.
