What would you expect, when entering a 250 m2 loft at De Rotterdam, the biggest building of The Netherlands, (designed by OMA/Rem Koolhaas), at the height of 143 meters, on the 43rd floor? Rotterdam seen from the air shows the omnipresence of water flowing through the city centre. The 25 meter total glass façade stretching from floor to ceiling, offers you a view of the Maas river, flowing through the city towards the Rotterdam harbour. You will look down upon the Erasmus Bridge (designed by UN Studio), the Markthal (designed by MVRDV), the city centre, Delft and on a clear day even The Hague is part of the view.
[Modeling in the air] project is a house reconstruction plan that interconnected with a pediatrics clinics that owned by a client from Fukuoka city , Fukuoka Prefecture.
Looking at the environment of the site, on the east side the main road is flanked by a lush green park, on the north there is an existing pediatric clinic owned by the client, on the southside and westside there are adjacent housing and mansion. With three sides of the sites facing and surrounded by other existing structure it is not an ideal condition to make an opening.
10 DESIGN has been selected from 4 international architectural practices in a competition to design China Resources Land’s (CR Land) Hengqin MixC World in Zhuhai, China.
CR Land in cooperation with Macao’s New Fenghong Real Estate Development and China Resources Trust have invested 50 billion yuan to build this premium development. Covering a total GFA of over two million sqm, the joint venture expects the project to begin construction in September 2016. When completed, this project will create approximately 50,000 jobs in Zhuhai and generate nearly 1 billion yuan in tax revenue each year, further promoting the economic growth of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.

The project is located in Ponferrada´s City Hall Square, next to the base of the Clock Tower, in one of the 5 gateways to the walled medieval city. This stretch of the wall remains intact due to its shared joint ownership with the cloistered convent of the Conceptionist, which has allowed its preservation until today.
The building corresponds to the traditional construction of XVIII Century houses in El Bierzo: rectangular, formed by volumes attached, with facade shield, courtyard, stratifying its uses by heights. The upper floor is devoted to housing, with a noble area in the square and another craft workshop in the courtyard. The ground floor housed commercial activities.
JINS, one of the biggest eyewear brands in Japan, commissioned Schemata Architects to design the renewal of their Ageo shop on the occasion of its 12th anniversary. The existing shop consists of two L-shaped blocks, respectively an eyewear shop and a cafe, positioned around a square courtyard surrounded by an open corridor serving as a cozy outdoor cafe space. However, the existing building was clad in wooden panels and the courtyard and the cafe were hidden from the street.
We removed the exterior walls and installed Low-E paired glass to initiate the view towards the beautiful courtyard from the street, while creating an impressive display of their extensive eyewear products highly visible from the street at the same time.
The project is born out of chef Quique Dacosta’s will to open to clients the creativity studio of his 3 Michelin stars restaurant, allowing people to have a gastronomic experience in the studio itself.
Because of Dacosta’s creativity and unconformity, what once started as a chef’s table ended up influencing the entire space. The influence was global, and all the knowledge, tools and techniques developed created new paths, new potential in two areas.
Twenty-one plateaus and seven volumes tell the story of this house.
The aim of the project is to give a new and even identity to a house belonging to the same family for several generations. The original house formed by the aggregation of different interventions at different times, with different construction systems. Each of the rooms in the house describes a moment in life of this family story. Thus it was essential to maintain the structure, spaces, uses, garden and memories, presenting them in a new way.

ARCHITECTURAL AND URBAN POSITION
In the residential neighborhood of the Petit-Clamart, this ambitious project includes schools (two elementary schools and two nursery schools) and large sports complex (dojo, gymnasium, tennis courts, and circulation area). The broad trapezium-shaped terrain extends over 5 hectares and offers the opportunity to reconcile two areas, two period urban fabrics based on very different conceptions.

This project intervened in a site resulting from gutting the interior of two historic (listed) buildings. We conceived the new building from the conservation of the historic façades, whose stability was assured by buttressing them with a metallic structure. Taking these façades as our starting point, we worked out a strategy to erect one building where two stood previously. We then set out to consolidate the height of the new slabs. To bridge the gap in preexisting elevations, we placed the open staircase-patio on the front of the building at no. 33, setting back the new volumen. In this way, the slabs would not face old gaps.
It’s about a renew of an apartment built in the 80’s, located at Brasília-DF, Brazil. After carefully analyzing the physical structure of the unit could have a clear vision on the real conditions of the apartment.
Narrow rooms due to excess of compartmentation, bad light spaces that caused an enclosure and confined feeling, that describe not an enjoyable place.
