Article source: KTX archiLAB

In Japan, two major types of pharmacies can be found. The first is the drug store, or what can be described as retail pharmacies. This type offers services related to basic medicines as well as parapharmaceutical products. The second type is the dispensing pharmacies, usually related to a nearby clinic or hospital. In this type of pharmacies, the products are prepared in the backyard after the customer presents prescription issued by his doctor. Once prepared, the pharmacist has to explain to the customer about the prescription.

Article source: Specht Architects

The zeroHouse is a small, prefabricated house that can be easily shipped and quickly erected.  It features a full kitchen, bath, and all elements necessary to comfortably support four adults.  What sets the zeroHouse apart from other prefabricated structures on the market, however, is its ability to operate independently, without the need for any external utility or waste disposal connections.  The zeroHouse can be used in many applications, including residential uses in remote or ecologically sensitive locations, as ecotourism resort units, or as living or office modules for remote employment such as mining, construction, or relief agency uses.

Moholt 50|50 – Timber Towers in Trondheim, Norway by MDH Arkitekter

Thursday, February 16th, 2017

Article source: MDH Arkitekter

Student housing often drown in mediocrity, with simple units stacked on top of each other in the cheapest way possible and left to themselves without support programs. The Moholt 50|50 project is a reaction to this. By inserting new housing collectives and a wide range of support services and public programs into an existing student village built in the sixties, a new active central area is created, erasing the psychological border between the student village and the surrounding area.

The Thinking Gallery Space provides rental services for exhibitions, parties, and classes.

Design Concept:

Concretizing abstract thinking enables us to sketch outlines on paper. The orientations of thought are like angles and changes in light and shadow, and different people do not necessarily see details of pictures in the same way. Based on this, we derived a means by which to embody thought and created the Thinking Gallery Space, which allows us to enjoy the thinking process in a tranquil atmosphere.

Just like the sport itself, structures built for sports are always signifiers of identity. Especially in such provincial communities as Longvic in the south of Dijon, sports clubs play an important role in social life. Here the architecture of sports facilities can contribute to the self-image of the community. Named after the French hand baller Véronique Pecqueux-Rolland, the new sports hall offers ideal training and tournament conditions to the teams of the regional handball and martial arts leagues as well as to popular sports teams and various schools.
