Rooftop apartment on top of a hill, looking at the Mediterranean, respecting the traditional architecture of the area. There are no boundaries between interior and exterior , they become one unity. The lines and volumes form a tight and practical architectural interior. The subtle materials create a zen feel. The large windows and white floors reflect the sunlight in all corners of the space. Museum Romeins Halder in Sint-Michielsgestel, The Netherlands by RESET ARCHITECTURE

Thursday, March 29th, 2018

Article source: RESET ARCHITECTURE

Reset Architecture transforms a barn at a historical estate into a museum.

This project addresses a current theme of the changing countryside that is no longer mainly used for agriculture. Within this context of change the intention of this project originated from preservation; sharing the past of a beautiful location. The architecture of this adaptive reuse project does not react to history in a nostalgic or thematic way, it uses a more context sensitive approach. The interior has changed to a level in which the old and new merge but still are, without hierarchy, visually present. As a result the new setting evokes a self-evident presence that relates to the characteristics of the natural scenery.

Betili concept store – presenting two of the chain store branches in Tel Aviv, Israel by Samuelov Studio

Thursday, March 29th, 2018

Article source: Samuelov Studio

Development of a new design concept for the largest home design retail chain in Israel. The design emphasizes the size of Betili and its leadership in the field, though, among other things, a trendy and confident substantial language of concrete and raw wood and an open and very spacious planogram. A sculptural “Avenue of the Accessories” structure, accompanies the customers from the entrance into the depth of the store, thus emphasizing the unique Betili interdependence between furniture and matching accessories. The store’s centerpiece is the “Betili Studio” where customers can take an active part in designing various furniture, selecting finishing materials and planning furniture settings fitting their home. This customer empowerment allows the retailer to take over the home design domain and strengthen its position as THE dominant signature in that domain.
