The lot shape is a basic rectangle and we adjusted the project to its size to get the most benefit from the space. On the facade 2 planes are clearly appreciated as part of the same volume. We decided to use stone as the main material to add strength and enhance the personality of the project. The second plane was softened with vegetation to mark the difference between both and define a gesture of the presence of nature throughout the design.
Shanghai Baoye Center is part of the phase-2 urban development scheme for the new Central Business District in Hongqiao, a rapidly developing piece of western Shanghai. The location of the project puts it at the center of car, train, and jet transportation, and is in fact the last building one sees before entering the busy Hongqiao High-Speed Rail Terminal from the south by bullet train, granting the project a significant urban presence.The site has several challenging conditions: sandwiched by two city-designated temporary green spaces into an L shape, with a 60% frontage ratio requirement to the east, west and south, and a 24m tall highway overpass running adjacent to its north face, the building must respond to a maximum FAR of 1.60 and a height of 24m.
Nicknamed “The Crystal” because of its semi-translucent “skin” made out of polycarbonate that allows for the inner light to escape into the dark Copenhagen night, The Crystal has become somewhat of a local landmark. Flexibility and coherency are other keywords regarding The Crystal. The inner landscape is painted green, which creates a coherency that allows the various areas of the facility to seem visually and spatially connected – even when they are apart or on different levels. The building’s steel and timber structure is covered with opalescent polycarbonate panels with a low U-value. This translucent cover offers excellent daylight conditions.
The new school ensemble of the Adult Education Centre in Hanover, Germany, consists of four elements. The three existing building components of the former School for the Hearing Impaired were closed by a new building attached to the existing volume, thus forming a cuboid. It then results in a roofed patio that can be used as a meeting space, for gatherings, or events. The patio presents the lively heart of the ensemble.

The family house is designed for people going through very difficult periods in their lives. A child’s accident affects the entire family, and the family house must therefore meet a wide range of needs. It is our vision to create a beautiful and peaceful house where aesthetics and healing architecture meet – a haven for distressed families who find themselves in an extremely vulnerable position. The development of the project has therefore valued the individual needs of the families and has resulted in 3 concepts consistent with the development of the project: Home, Community and Privacy.
The master plan for the station plaza at Tenri Station in Nara prefecture, located in the southwest region of Japan.
The plan for the 6,000 square meter area includes bicycle rentals, a cafe and other shops, an information kiosk, a play area, outdoor stage, and meeting area. The project goal was to encourage local community revitalisation by providing a space for events, tourist information dissemination and leisure facilities for local residents.
A private residence frames a spectacular natural context, on the hills surrounding the Galilee Sea. Folded in a plastered white envelope, the inner spaces are oriented towards the view and invite it to enter the family’s domain.
The Klang & Co. conceptual design pivots around a desire to combine the tactility of the experience of dining with the contextual quality of Malaysia Klang Depot, which is the provenance of the restaurant culture. The design draws inspiration from Heston’s dish ‘Sound of the sea’, the dish composes the sound of sea wave audible through magnifying the echoes within the sea shell and the olfactory experience of smelling the sea water, Heston aims to heighten the senses associated with dining in order to enhance the innate quality of the ingredients. Our design deploys elements which invoke sensual responses and contextual association, the crane structure overhead adds visual potency to the dining environment, it reflects the industrial oil processing which is essential to Klang’s economic boom, the artificial identity of the crane is counterpoised by the suspended tables, translucent screen wall which signify sea bubble and the sea; and level of bright glimpse effect throughout the spatial arrangement, embodied the illumination atmosphere of the Klang depot’s night life . Deliberately designed elements permeate the restaurant to embellish the overall setting just as sea lives dwell in the sea. The restaurant layout celebrates the coastal industrial process of on and offloading cargo containers, a parallel can be drawn with the on and offloading of pre-packaged food, just like modern craft no longer limits itself to handmade goods and is continuously expanding its possibilities through machine processing, the craftsmanship of takeaway food can inherit authenticity and quality without compromising the effectiveness of its distribution.
The fact of showing so many products in such a small space, of course, is a matter to consider. This Stand was designed to be presented on one of the most important Construction Material Fair in Mexico. In this space, we can appreciate the way how materials were exposed on a versatile manner: multiplying, dividing, deconstructing.
The program of needs of the project is in function of the expectations of students of the School, given the evolution of the demand of places. And it is articulated around the requirements of the legislation in force in the matter, within the framework of the specificities of the educational project of the entity.
