The apartment of 44 m2 is designed for a young man. The main wish of the customer bachelor nest loft.

By itself, the loft includes large industrial premises converted into a living space, but we managed to achieve an atmosphere of style and vintage, using its elements. The main materials in the decoration of the apartment: brick, solid wood, natural stone — slate and wood veneer in furniture finishing.

The apartment will be used as a place to rest and sleep during the week and sometimes as a mini like this place at the weekend for a company of 5-6 people.

One of the main wishes in terms of functionality, it features a separate bedroom. The customer really wanted to sleep on a bed rather than a sofa bed.

Functionally, we shared an apartment in the following areas: entrance hall, bathroom with shower, kitchen-living room-dining room, bedroom.

The Pool House in Haslemere, England by Re-Format LLp

Wednesday, October 26th, 2016

Article source: Re-Format LLp

The mature and secluded site is located in Haslemere on the edge of the Surrey Hills, enjoying stunning, long ranging views towards the South Downs and beyond.

The client’s brief was for a detached ancillary building to the existing house, to provide an indoor pool and spa, gym, bicycle workshop and glasshouse. Above all the building had to be beautiful, finely crafted at every detail using the highest quality materials. The Pool House needed to function effortlessly in a variety of environments, whether for a relaxing solitary swim or a family pool party for 30.

Between Land and Sky home in Beit Zayit, Israel by Joel Jospe – Architects

Wednesday, October 26th, 2016

Article source: Joel Jospe – Architects

When I first saw the lot, the steep slope overlooking the Jerusalem neighborhood of Ein Karem, I wanted to do one thing only – to keep walking forward, hover in the air above the canyon, quietly observing the landscape visible in every direction. This was the primary motivation during planning. I did not give up this desire, or the opportunity inherent in it, and have given it to the owners.

Article source: AND(Architecture of Novel Differentiation)

Site + Desire

Louverwall is for a couple with five cats. The husband is a music enthusiast who manages the cafe where he enjoys music, coffee, and beautiful space. He wants the café space to be vertical, transparent, and dynamic. They need a small residence on the 2nd and 3rd floors consisted of a bedroom, a living room and a small kitchen. The site is located in the newly developed mixed-use building district in Paju. The plot is surrounded by other buildings on its three sides; it is only open toward due west. Thus, the main challenge of the project is to come up with the west façade that is energy efficient and transparent.

Article source: v2com

IMAGO is the winning entry of the City of Montreal’s two-phase competition entitled ‘Vivre le chantier Sainte-Cath!’. St. Catherine Street, an important commercial artery in downtown Montreal is undergoing a four-year infrastructure improvement plan along several blocks, including underground infrastructure upgrades, incorporation of new public transit systems and increasing pedestrian sidewalk area and access. The project seeks to ameliorate the streetscape’s overall appeal, improve its functioning and promote economic growth over the long term. During the construction different segments of the street will be closed to car traffic, however pedestrian traffic and access to all stores will remain functioning. It is inevitable that this period of transformation will have an impact on people’s daily routine and the operation of the city.

Article source: v2com

This house, whose name refers to the brightest star in the Aquila constellation, is located in Cap-à-l’Aigle, in the region of Charlevoix. Altaïr means “The Flying Eagle.” What makes the house stand out is its “V” shape and long facades that are suspended over nature. While discrete from the street and closed to the north, it unfolds toward the river, as though to take flight.
