Casa Puebla displays a concept towards inside life where the visual motif is the Popocatépetl volcano, one of the most important natural icons in central Mexico.
The residence was conceived through inspiration regarding the aesthetic values of Mexican culture translating them into an avant-garde concept, in a fresh, contemporary and warm way, carefully selecting materials, as well as encouraging its residents to live both on the inside and to the outside through the openings towards the garden. Color and material palette seeks to blend architecture with its context, being an implicit tribute to the volcano.
The tower is part of the ambitious new master plan for the city, which converges around ten towers. The main program of the tower consists of office and housing program. Shopping and restaurant facilities are located in the base and at the top of the building.
Our first investigation was to resolve the dilemma of elegance – a clear ambition stated in the master plan – and square meters. We propose a volume based on a super ellipse: starting as an ellipse and ending as a rectangle. The subtle transition between these two basic shapes makes a tower which fully captures the Mediterranean light of Tirana, and creates ever changing shadows.
This beach house is located in the Atlantic coast of Argentina, 10 kilometers away from Pinamar, and 400 meters away from the beach, where the sound of the sea is constant. One of the main premises was to respect the coniferous forest, along with the “L” shape facing north. It is developed in one-story with the open possibility to build a new floor on top (one of the patios sets the space for the potential stairs). This “L” configuration allows to separate the public area from the private, articulating these spaces through three patios which capture light. The house is introverted towards its front façade, providing intimacy as well as a sense of mystery to the passersby. A compact “box”, where the attention is stolen by the pedestrian ramp, which finishes in the residence's entrance patio.
Crafted in the heart of one of the most highend neighbourhoods of São Paulo, the 1100m2 residence was built by the owner’s grandparents in the 1960s. The original house was designed following a neoclassical style and had a very closed and compartmentalized floor plan.
The project aimed to rethink the spatial distribution of the environments, opening the internal spaces and creating new structures that transformed the house into a contemporary work of art, in total harmony with the client, a young DJ and music producer.
ACDF – the architects for the first phase of Lightspeed’s headquarters – designed a new floor that expresses the audacious and creative nature of the company. The architects created an ideal environment for development teams, inspired by the contrast between the historic railway station and the growing tech company.
The workspace of the point-of-sale software company is located on the ground floor of a 19th century railway hotel, the chateau-style Gare Viger. With its distinctive architecture and its historical significance, the building is an iconic landmark that stands out in Old Montreal’s skyline.
For the reorientation of the Citizens Advice Bureau in Frankfurt am Main, DIA – Dittel Architekten developed and implemented an overall concept for the city. The Citizens Advice Bureau is intended to become the central point of contact for citizens at its new, more prominent location on the famous alleyway »Hinter dem Lämmchen« in the DomRömer Quarter, which was opened in 2018. DIA developed an innovative platform for modern communication, information and exchange in the form of a showroom with an interactive digital concept. As part of an invitational announcement, the design of the architects at DIA prevailed.
The new church convinces through its self-confident appearance at this busy location in the industrial area at the edge of the city of Murten.
The building is divided into two main bodies: The hall which is 11 meters high and the side wing which is 3.80 meters high. Those two structures close the space against the street. Together with the surrounding wall, the plant room and the four existing plane trees they build a protected outside space from where one can enter the foyer. The hall offers 150 seats and grants the building with its big hight the required presence in this barren landscape.
Papalote was remodeled in a total way, this expansion includes new interior and exterior exhibition areas, a new store, and a new food court area, a new multiple use room, a new parking and service building, and a general improvement of its offices.
Papalote’s integral renovation contemplated the efficient use of natural resources, adapting the spaces to use natural light and ventilation, adding intellingent lighting (LED), and a water treatment plant to recycle water. This will translate into an earning of nearly 25% of its energy consumption, and up to 90% in its water consumption.

The walk-in sculpture “Krefeld Pavilion” in Krefeld's Kaiserpark is a wooden construction with the easily comprehensible basic shape of an octagon and a diameter of 15 meters. The pavilion is placed on a recessed plinth, which lends it an impression of floating lightness. Visitors enter the sculpture, which accommodates eight small rooms, via a flight of stairs. The independent, simple shape of the octagon evokes associations with chinoiserie or a nomad tent. “The pavilion is not a Bau-haus, but a Bau-hut,” says Thomas Schütte.
