“Far, far away from shopping malls and sales, there is a house shrouded in mists and twilight cloudy wisps. Peace and quiet homely mood, Cool concrete and warm wood. A wonder? Who could tell? But you may come as well… “
“Daily” is a place you can visit on a daily basis in order to drink coffee, to have a chat, to work or just to spend some good time. This coffee place has an arthouse movie atmosphere. From every perspective you have a sense of a movie episode where people casually interact with each other.
Our goal was to create a nice space where good people can enjoy good coffee.
There are two separate zones. The first one is a spacious room with a counter, a sitting area and a lot of lightning.
The Lion International Kindergarten Project is located in an old residential community in the Tianhe District of Guangzhou. Surrounded by old-fashioned houses, the community itself lacks a venue for children’s activities. Children here are in desperate need of a comfortable and safe environment to learn and play.
The project sits in an old granary with an area of barely 500sqm, and presents multiple contradictions between functionality, spatial distribution and environment adequacy. Through conscious design, VMPDE breaks away with the restrictions generated by the surrounding areas and the space available, to create a healthy and sustainable environment for children to grow.
Casa Cabo is a refuge that invites those who inhabit it to experience the particular conditions of its environment, characterized by an arid nature of high temperatures, peculiar endemic vegetation and dry winds.
The house is resting on platforms made with the same earth of the surroundings that decline gently with the slope of the land. The compacted earth walls that seem to emerge from the sand between rocks and vegetation, support the structure of the roofs, giving privacy to the interior of the space and framing the view towards the sea.
The project is located in Changzhou which has been one of the major towns in Jiangnan (the south of the Yangtze River) since ancient times. It maintains people’s hope for life and spiritual relations to Jiangnan-style architecture. Two major limitations can be found in this design. First, since it is located among high buildings, usable land is limited. Second, the functions of a sales center should be fulfilled and then it will be transformed into a community center. With these two limitations, the designer reconsidered the relationship between building and the land and then decided to design a demonstration area by starting from “Jiangnan-style habitats”. Jiangnan-style habitats have two aspects. First, it creates residential buildings. Jiangnan-style habitats consist of the roof, well and wall. Second, it also refers to Jiangnan gardens that are both house and garden.
The project was born from the idea to link the different spaces of the house by means of a unifying element. This concept was materialized employing a suspended ceiling that communicated both ends of the apartment and overlaid the existing elements and the new intervention.
The apartment, slightly under fifty square meters, was originally subdivided into smaller rooms that configured a poorly lighted and ventilated space. The rooms were originally organized by a wide corridor that allowed both segregated and combined domestic activities.
Inside the Condominium Cot-Duá and following the same architectonical idea from the Casa Veranda, a series of houses are built and reproduced during the following years.
The Casa Cot-Duá consists of four independent volumes, aligned in the same direction, bound together by a single breathable and light roof, specially designed to allow natural ventilation and micro-climate controlled environment, while creating a fascinating play of light and shadow.
A beautiful and small three-bedroom Jerusalem vacation apartment. The family requested something contemporary and trendy, so we opted for the timeless and classic black and white color palette, a combination always sure to make a statement. By keeping the décor simple and clean the apartment, though small, feels airy and the interesting contrasts in the various rooms (bedroom, living area, kitchen) provide the classic yet modern look the client requested. For diversity, different patterns were also included in the mix – as in the wallpaper and cushions. A pop of grey, with brass here and there complete this modern chic look.

The Queen's house is a very unique project for our studio.
The house was designed for a young family of 4.
The main focus of the design was to blend the interior with the exterior to the fullest but at the same time make sure that the house is cool in summer time and warm during the winter,(very hot summers and chill winters) that means that every window opening was carefully examined.
