The project was obtained through a competition. The architect is Gianni Cito. At the time of the competition entry and the building design he was co-founder and architect of Dok Architecten. Currently he is partner of Moke Architecten, a young and rapidly growing firm for architecture and urbanism in Amsterdam. With this growing group of 8 architects/urbanist/interior architects Moke is involved in school designs, large inner city housing schemes, the renovation and extension of a museum, two shopping centers and urban plans.
The project, as the result of an international competition, consists of both the total renovation and restoration of the existing historic Central Bank of Albania, designed by Vittorio Ballio Morpurgo in 1934-36, and the construction of a new building. It includes the new Numismatic Museum, a new conference hall for 150 persons, offices, meetings room, an internal gallery, a roof garden and an underground four-levels parking.
Architecture firm ROK – Rippmann Oesterle Knauss* has completed the first five solar-powered bus stops for the town Meilen close to Zurich, Switzerland. The design incorporates site-specific information, based on the rich cultural and historic background of Meilen through perforated panels.
Peekaboo House is located near Newington Green in N1, Islington and benefits from the side access and parking space where our site was identified. The clients were current residents of the property and had already completed extensive refurbishment works in addition to the modern glazed extension at Lower Ground floor completed by the previous owner. Our brief was to create an effective separate single bed dwelling for a nanny with the impending arrival of their first child. Although we were able to utilise some of the side access to form the new addition the client was insistent upon retaining the parking space and as much of the rear patio as possible. Furthermore it was important to retain an access for the client from front to back via the side access to ensure security of the overall property was in their control.
A real student city has a flourishing pop scene, and Leiden is no exception. Already in 1969 there was the ‘Kreatief Sentrum’ [‘Creative Centre’] on Breestraat, later renamed as the Leids Vrijetijds Centrum. Thirty-five years later, the same organisation has a brand new building in the historic centre and a new name: Gebr. de Nobel, after the brothers who had a rags and scrap-metal business, well-known throughout Leiden, on precisely the same spot.
‘House in Nogyang‘ is facing the boundary of the green belt, which boundary that the city can’t expand anymore. It is close to downtown but quiet, near to an apartment complex, elementary school, and Nogyang station.
This house is for three generations: three children, a couple, and their old mother. Each of them wanted their own room, and also has enough room for their basic living space, but the site area was 147㎡, which was pretty small. Besides, they had money for the building area could be only 147㎡, while some part of the land was scheduled to be transferred to a planned road. We just have had to find a way while building the house just to fit in the land.
After years of research EcoFloLife has developed the WaterNest 100 eco-friendly floating housing unit, exclusively designed by the renown Italian architect Giancarlo Zema.
It is an enveloping of 100 sqm residential unit, 12 m in diameter and 4 m high, made entirely of recycled glued laminated timber and a recycled aluminium hull. Balconies are conveniently located on the sides and thanks to the large windows, permit enjoyment of fascinating views over the water.

Members of the Council of Paris revised the urban regulations for the Masséna- Bruneseau sector in Paris’ southeasterly 13th arrondissement at the city council meeting of Tuesday 16th November 2011. This amendment will allow the construction of residential towers measuring 50 metres tall, and of office blocks measuring up to 180 metres tall.
