Narnia is an imaginary land created by a space of fantasy.
As vivid stories overlap with actual places, the epic scenery of Narnia’s program box makes one remember the space that appears in reality, as a fantasy. Like Jean Baudrillard said, perhaps hyper-reality is being used as a strategy to conceal reality in the real world. Just as Disneyland exists, imitating children, to turn adults’ childishness into fantasy, we dream of unfamiliar routines in an imaginary world created by hyperreality, which feels more real than reality.

The construction of the railway network and the travelers station by the Company of “Northern Railroads”, at the beginning of the Twentieth century, was a significant event for the city of Burgos due to the relevance of the equipment and the significance for the city planning, importance that, however, was lost with the passage of the years till its total abandonment.
The project aims to rehabilitate the Old Railway Station to accommodate a recreational and leisure programme intended primarily for children and youth. The intervention extends, on one side, over the Station Square (former Travelers Courtyard) as a pedestrian and relationship space and, on the other side, a boulevard that is today where the railways used to be.

The Rest Area is located on a beautiful spot next to a large pond and a ridge (in Finnish harju, hence the name) bordering lake Kolima, which is a remnant from the ice age. The Rest Area takes its inspiration from the surrounding nature. It offers a break from driving, with beautiful, unobstructed views to the water.
“Form follows function,” one of the strongest mantras of modern architecture, found another tight fit at the new studio premises of SinnerSchrager in Prague. Kurz Architects designed a new office space in an old industrial building. Both the architects and the German digital agency combined the ideas of interior and digital architectures. Throughout the course of half a year, they used agile processes to plan, build and create a space for 60 digital workers. With a fixed budget and timing, the scope of the solution as constantly reprioritized and iterated upon — in an open, joyful and proactive manner. Trust and willingness to execute stood in the foreground of the collaboration. Elements like building blocks, frameworks and a strict design system were the common ground between the worlds of the architects and the digital agency; orbiting around these fostered their joint journey.

Following overwhelmingly positive press attention for becoming one of the tallest skyscrapers to be completed in 2017 (and one of tallest buildings ever to be constructed in China), St. Regis Zhuhai is finally being unveiled to the public.
After being commissioned by the Huafa Group, RMJM RED drew inspiration from Zhuhai’s unique rock formations, taking advantage of the surrounding southern and eastern views. The structure’s slender build is already a standout sight of the Shizimen development which is undergoing work along with the rest of the Zhuhai CBD, allowing it to grow not only economically, but also culturally.
